There would be no way to lose a Super Bowl than to do it against the Giants.
Eh, different strokes. Before XLVI last year, I said that if the Pats lost, it ultimately wouldn't hurt as much, if at all, because the loss in XLII was so painful that nothing could have ever been worse. While I was wrong on the "if at all" part, I found that the loss didn't hurt as badly in retrospect.
If Eli ties Brady's ring total by going 3-0 against Brady to get them, you'll be fine with that?

Since I just agreed with Kontra's original comment, I'll answer for myself. Of course I wouldn't be "fine with that." I'd be suicidal (or just about). But I wouldn't complain, especially if he beat Brady for a third time to achieve the record. As Kontra also observed, it's why I want the Pats in the SB against Eli if he gets there again; we're the only team I trust to beat the bastard in a clutch game, even if we've failed miserably thereat in the past.
First win, ******* lucky.
Second win, pretty damn good.
Third win, time for us to shut up.
I like the look of a Giants Pats repeat.
if we have to face the giants...again...i will not watch the SB..nope..can't do it again
Sure you will. And who knows? Maybe next time, Gronk is healthy, Wes catches the ball, our D can stop a JV squad, and the ball (literally) doesn't always bounce their way.
I'm not normally a betting man but if a Giants-Patriots re-match occurs, I'm putting a lot of money on the Giants. That way, if they stuff my hope for a 4th Lombardi for Brady, I'll be drinking the very finest top shelf with the winnings. Conversely, if the Patriots win, it's only money.
Who said anything about taking credit for the win? I'm not running out on weekends coaching or playing in the NFL.Great idea, slap down $100K on the Giants. Pats win, it because there's no way YOU would ever win a bet like that and you can take credit for the Pats win. Giants win and you can take the year off and drown your sorrows.
Got $100K?
Don't want to see the Giants in the SuperBowl. Losing to them for the third time would feel worse than beating them would feel good. No, thanks.

Of course.
