It's time to suck it up and just run the table... 17-2

With still having played 0 division games, having Denver, Houston, Seattle and San Francisco on our schedule I'll be ******* ecstatic if we finish 10-6 and win the division.

rather hang my head regarding last nights game, I am comparing what happened during the game as compared to what I was expecting going into the game.

outside of the refs, the team screwed up, and that's what the raven needed to win ..... in their house .....

what I saw was the pats having the ability to address many more of their weaknesses than the ravens can. suggs is not going to be a factor this year regardless of what people say.

through alll of the vomit last night I liked alot of what I saw

17-2 really? This team is not going to run the table. Just like that last nights game this defense has reverted to the defense the pats have been using for the past 3+ years. Unreliable when the game is on the line, unable to put any pressure on the QB so the pats lousy secondary gets torched. I don't know what you saw that I did not but right now we are looking at a 11-5 or 10-6 team. Like in years past the only hope the pats have of winning is to win in a shootout.

I did not say 17-2......someone changed the thread title

I said the pats will be 11-2 when the texans come to town.

2011 - ran off 10 wins after loss to giants
2010 - ran off 8 wins after loss to browns

the youth on this team needs to learn that a 60 min effort is required.

I also think they should consider limiting jones' reps a little......he's getting a ton of PT

Until McDaniels learns how to make in game adjustments and banish woodhead from the offense and the defense grows a pair the eff you tour will be the effing ourselves tour as we make an early exit from the playoffs.

i will take 2-2 for now and build some momentum after beating the bills as we play denver and seattle after them..

Two threads arguing different things were combined by someone- post #8 had been a different thread starter

Well, the rest of the season just got a lot more interesting. What we all saw as a lock will now be contested right up until the end of the season. Should be fun to watch every week as they don't have any more games to squander. Belichick took this roster for its ceiling not its floor, which is where they now stand. If he was right this will be a much better team in December than it is now, however they have to start putting it together sooner than later. both teams they lost to are really good but now they will have to beat some of the best teams to offset those losses. They have their share of questions but I'm still of the belief that the talent is there and they should both make the play-offs and make a good run in them. We'll see?

Its a 1-2 team that could go on a losing streak with losable games at Buffalo,at home vs. Manning and Denver, then a long road trip to Seattle who has a defense almost as good as the Cards, they could lose them all, they could win them all

This could be as easily a 1-5 team as much as they could be a 4-2 team by late october.

None of these games is a gimme and also none of them are impossible to win.

I would be happy with a 5-3 mark by midseason

Agree with this, 5-3 at the half would be a good place for them, the second half is easier than the first and 11-5 as east champs would be fine given this start. Home field and a bye is always nice but not necessary to win it all.

I think 11-5 seems like a very likely record and one that is good enough to win the division and host a WC game.

Its still a very overall young team and running the table talk is ridiculous.

I see the Texans winning 14 games and the Ravens with 12 making NE a #3 seed which would be what we could hope for at best at this point.

The Texans are going to be a load of a headache all season...they have very few weak spots as long as Schaub remains healthy.

We could very well lose a bye week by 1 point based off that final score yesterday.

Its only week 4 coming up,but you can pretty much tell 3 teams who is going to be there in the AFC at the end.

Baltimore,Houston and New England still only in September, look like 3 locks for the playoffs

I can't wait for the Texans and Pats game. Should be epic. Will be hard to root for any certain team though. Unfortunately, this season I think the Texans are perfectly built to beat the Pats. Strong running game and the Pats don't have anyone that can effectively hold Andre Johnson.

The Pats offensive line is having a lot of troubles right now, and the Texans get after the passer as good as anybody right now. The Texans just look like a better team all around right now. I really hope that the Pats can get their struggles together though. This is getting frustrating.

You must have been thinking 2-6 before last night, since you went into the game expecting a 12+ point loss, so your opinion of the Pats improved due to last nights game.

How can the Patriots be a lock if you think they could EASILY BE 1-5 in 3 weeks?

IMO they are a lock,in retrospect they may end up not being so if they don't learn how to either close out games (Baltimore) or start games where they don't sleepwalk for 45 Minutes (Arizona).....it appears our devastating offense against weak teams on the schedule is not what has transpired thus far.

But this division is the only real reason they should be a lock for the postseason, they appear to be the best of a sorry bunch of AFC east teams that have issues.......I thought the Jets defense may have been a challenge but that's out with Revis gone,Mario Williams has not impressed yet and Miami is rebuilding.

Any other division and I would be more worried about things ahead, even with 10 wins this division can be won.

One week at a time homeboy.
