Ghost choked, but the loss can't be blamed on him. The Pats didn't deserve to win.
McDaniels called a horrible game. How many times do the middle runs need to be stuffed before you change the game plan? Why did it take to the 2nd half before Welker became involved and you opened up the O? Are the Pats paying Gronk that huge salary to stay in and block the whole 1st half or to run the seems and score like he did in the 2nd half. Brady certainly didn't look his best until the 4th qtr. The O has a lot to work on.
This, weve become a very complacent, very obvious team. We played awful the whole game, might actually be better to lose much as we did to Cleveland or Buffalo so this team can get the kick up
the arse it needs. Brady and the O were horrible
We had a miracle win placed into the palm of our hands and then it just slipped out. Wow, what a terrible feeling to lose a game that would've felt so great to win.
Not to mention the false start and Holding call on Gronk. Thank you Danny woodhead for running that in for a TD. Even though it wasn't considered a TD in the end it still brought me 8 seconds of Joy.
Please stop blaming the refs you sound like whiners. They played like crap and deserved to lose this game. They need to really step up their game next week or they will get embarrassed. I hope Hernandez is not injured to badly.
He had scads of time and a defense that was gutpunched because of the turnover. BB's strategy was awful. Still, it wouldn't have mattered if the refs hadn't blown that holding call.
When you are easily makable field goal distance and down by 2, you play it safe. You don't get extra credit in the standings for a TD. It was a 42 yard kick and that kick would have been wide left if the Pats kicked from 20 yards.
Definitely not the right thing. 42 yards is never a gimme, and when you have a CLEAR shot to get a TD, or at the VERY WORST get a few yards closer and make the kick <30 yards you take it. No excuse settling for a 42 yarder in that situation.
It was not the fault of any one person. Horrible decision by BB, horrible kick by Ghost, ticky tack call on Gronk, and everything that led up to it.
Oh we did....... then why the F did we run "a very hot Brady" into the line 2 f'ing times with 40 seconds left, forcing our kicker into a "non-gimme" 43 yarder, when we could have, or should have, given him a much more manageable 23-33 yarder.
Because the Offense was mediocre for the other 50 minutes of the game. They were lucky to even be in a position to possibly win the game after the way they played.
