I think DeCastro was a great pick for the steelers though..their OL improved instantly and he is good value.

just saw this article saying Ozzie Newsome wanted to trade up for Hightower, but we outbid them.

“There were a couple of players that we thought we could trade up [for], but it gets expensive” Newsome said. “There were a lot of trades in today’s draft, and we felt better about going back.”

Here's what he says about Belichick and the Patriots. Apparently Hightower and Jones are exactly who we wanted.

“We started to hear that the two players that they really liked were Chandler Jones and Hightower,” Newsome said.

“The thing about [Patriots Head Coach] Bill [Belichick], all year long people talk about how long the defense is. Bill is a defensive coordinator by heart, ok. So he got really good in his front seven with Chandler Jones and Hightower.”

Upshaw will be good for them..but i think Hightower may have been a better fit

I love the fact the Pats jumped ahead of the ratbirds for Gronk and the ratbirds settled for Kindle. This time, they settled by trading back. I think the last time they traded up, if I recall was to take Kyle Boller, and that was with the Pats ? So maybe Ozzie is gunshy to trade up.

The Ravens didn't have a 4th rounder to give. They used their 4th to acquire Lee Evans. The 4th they used was Compensatory and untradable.

Theres no doubt that they wanted Hightower, but had to settle for Upshaw. I was originally high on Upshaw until he weighed in at 279lbs at his pro day.

Coming in overweight shows a serious lack of discipline and dedication... or he simply can't maintain his weight at the most important point in his career. Either way it's a bad sign.
