It was no secret the Ravens wanted Hightower. With Ray Lewis nearing the end of his career, and Sergio Kindle being the complete bust that many projected, they are in need of a young Linebacker to groom behind Lewis.

That's why we had to trade up to jump the Ravens... and once Hightower was gone, the Ravens traded back because their guy was gone.




Hopefully Hightower burns that Ravens shirt. Here he is on draft night

Kudos. You've made me feel a lot better. I hate the damn ratbirds almost as much as the G-Men so watching us crush their plans puts a smile on my face. I hope he smears feces on the shirt and leaves it burning at Ozzy's doorstep.

There's still two days of drafting. Designation destruction and draft success at this point in time is nonsensical. There's plenty of good players available, for every team.

They can target certain players and if they fall to right level trade a 2013 pick.
For example if they see 2nd round talent falling to the 4th, they can trade a 2013 3.
There is also the possibility of player trades, something we have done in the past.

I'd be more than happy with the Patriots taking two impact starters and being done with the draft. The point is, people shouldn't call it, one day into a three day process. Baltimore can still get better as can the Patriots and others.

Pretty bizarre if anyone in football expected the Steelers to take Hightower to help everyone or anyone else, much less the Ravens.
