Wilfork#75, why do you do this to me? The minute I fall in love with your binky Brandon Brooks, you post a mock without Brandon Brooks! (Face palm)
I've got to keep you on your toes buddy. Honestly, I think the only reason I don't have him in this mock is because of the Gallery signing. With so many vets on the roster I think its going to be tough for another interior lineman, especially with Koppen re-signing. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we did draft Brooks though.
I was ready to get behind wilfork's mock except the trading of hoyer really kills it for me personally. I don't know why but i don't want hoyer to leave, like ever lol. I probably wouldn't even trade him for a first round pick if i was in charge. Yes, I know its weird.
I completely understand, and its nothing personal against Hoyer. I probably like him as a person more than a player and I wish he could stay on the team too. But the combination of value and the extra roster spot outweighed the 1 year of Hoyer.
It's remarkable testimony to how refreshingly divergent our tastes are, Brother Wilfork, that you and I both see the top of the 4th as being absolutely festooned with terrific Mid Round Values...that we both load up with no less than five Prospects in that Round...and that not one of them are the same!!
For the record, though, I think that MinniField, Randall, Broyles, and Acho are all tremendous Picks.
I think with the way the draft is structured now, the top of the 4th round will always be a great spot for value. Generally there will always be enough depth to get some talented players in the 4th round and guys will always expectantly slip. And with the dynamic nature of the draft, its very difficult to keep keep up and track each pick, especially through round 3. So being able to re-evaluate the board overnight between rounds 3 and 4 I think is a huge deal and makes those picks at the top of the 4th even more valuable.
And OTG, I still haven't had a chance to really sit down and go through your masterpiece yet. I'll try to over the next day or two. I want to make sure I give it the time and thought it deserves.
Cheers guys.
