I hope we sign Ihedigbo back. Chung hasn't shown that he can be healthy all season, and IMO Ihedigbo plays SS better than Chung. .
Dude, drinking heavily on Sunday night is never a good idea.

Chung is one of the most overrated player in these forums. There is not a big difference between the two and Ihedigbo actually played better than him last year. That doesn't mean he is good, just goes to illustrate that Chung isn't more than mediocre. Sorry that hurts your feelings.
The fact that the Patriots don't run FS/SS notwithstanding...
...no. Just no.
It has nothing to do with my feelings, and everything to do with you not understanding safety play.
That's nonsense.
Actually, it isn't.
Why because you say so?
Why because you say so?
No, because it's true.

We do need a coverage safety back there. Converting one of our corners into a FS full time might not be a bad idea.
“Sometimes we can control who is the strong safety and who is the weak safety but a lot of times we can’t so they really need to learn both responsibilities for when it gets to that point, which like I said, inevitably it does.”
“That’s the way it’s been for – really I’d say about the last nine years or so,” Belichick concluded. “From when it was Rodney Harrison and Eugene Wilson, even though Rodney was more of a strong safety and Eugene was more of a free safety, both of those players could play both positions to a degree. Ever since then, we have always, again for the reasons I just talked about, we have tried to have players on our team that have some degree of versatility because the offense forces you to do that.

As I, and others have said repeatedly, the Patriots don't play a true SS/FS system. They play more of a Left/Right safety system.

BB says to a "degree". I don't think it's a coincidence that Harrison then and Chung now play closer to the LOS than the other safety playing along them.
