(1) First, right-click on the logo I provided, and choose "copy location."
(2) Click User CP at the left end in the red bar near the top.
(3) In the menu that shows up, choose "Edit Avatar (it'll be about halfway down).
(4) Copy the URL into the appropriate spot on the screen that follows.

Depending on what pic you are using, you may need to save it to your computer, open it with paint or another program to crop it, re-save it, and then upload it. There are pretty tight restrictions on file sizes allowable on the site to be uploaded as an avatar
