Yes it is odd. Do you think maybe some of the lower quality bandwagon fans that got attracted to the Chargers recent run accounts for the troll infestation?

I think jumping out to a quick lead and keeping the Chargers defense off balance is key. And of course winning on Sunday is the perfect medicine for most trolls. I think they will disappear quickly after that.

I am just glad im not seeing the Colts mentioned in this thread, I have never been here before but I decided to register in the hopes that me might meet again this year, I know alot has to happen for us to play again this year, but it would be fitting to see the Colts and Pats duking it out for the AFCCG...I come in peace and just want to talk football...

This is a difficult poll because some of the teams that brought really unpleasant trolls also had some very classy and respectable fans.

It's easy to say who were the "best" on average. The losing teams (Texans, Lions) only had one or two fans show up and their message was: we know we're going to lose, but we respect you and you should remember what it was like to follow a team that was lousy year in, year out. Yes! But we never had Matt Millen.

But the most obnoxious to my mind weren't even on your list. I can't remember a single Donkeys fan who was even remotely polite or constructive. The fact that we lost to their team doesn't excuse the arrogance and unpleasantness -- it only makes the fact that Kansas City kept them out of the play-offs (Kansas City!) more satisfying.

I've not seen a lot of you before, but I think RyantheColtsFan and Workhorse have brought a lot to this board and behaved with a lot of integrity in the face of some pretty pathetic insults and other nonsense flung in their direction. So for me, the Colts fans have been among the very best.

I just felt I had to bump this thread back up to it's rightful and proper place in line-first.
I haven't been on this board long enough to remember internet fans from way back,but personally I have always found Eagles fans to be among the more obnoxious followed closely by Yankee fans. The Colts fans I know have mellowed out a lot after last year's fiasco,and our division rivals are just division rivals-there's always underlying smack, so it is what it is.Although of our division fans,I'd say Miami is the worst,then Jets,then Bills.
But as far as this board goes the Charger posters are, by far and away,simply just painful to read. I think it's the "dude" thing that annoys me the most. All I can think of is Puka beads and a beach party. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but somehow the football "smack talk" just doesn't have the same "smack". Colts fans are sort of like that,too.
Obviously there are good and knowledgable fans of all teams which I enjoy reading. Those are the kind of fans you welcome back anytime to post in any discussion,no matter the outcome of a game or what team they root for. Knowledge and mutual respect is what makes the difference.
