With the recent influx of trolls I wonder who you guys feel has been the worst or most obnoxious fanbase? Maybe if Ian implemented a new poster rule (can't start a thread in pats fan forum without say at least 100 posts) or something we'd have fewer threads that were started by and dedicated to trolling.

Let the voting begin.

It has to be the Jets for me.

Don't forget to vote. And mods, have we come up with a system to thin down the trolling?

I only voted Dolphins because I remember the fin trolls were thick as flies here with the Culpepper trade. Fortunately they mostly died off once the postseason began. Amazing how not making the playoffs shuts up even the most determined of trolls.

Hopefully we knock out the Bolts this Sunday and the Bolts trolls will die out even faster. They are mere pests compared to the more persistent division rival trolls though, don't you think?

Cincinnati fans were pretty bad from a few years ago and that was just in the regular season. They kept going on and on about the Bengals speed and athleticism (Hmmm, does that sound familiar?). The Whale's Vagina bunch remind me of them.

Those who've been here for a long time will remember the Raiders fans during the first SB run. They were the worst. One of them said he was going to go fishing while the Rams blew us out 55-0 or something like that. :bricks:

Yeah I agree the Raiders fans were pretty bad. I guess there's just something about the water in Oakland that makse people think acting like punks and fools is an acceptable way of behaving themselves. Fortunately the Raiders are so bad this year they haven't bothered crawling into here.

Here's to seeing the Bolts pests dying off like the annoying flies they are once the Pats win on Sunday.

Charger fans are a poor man's Raider fans.

This is a difficult poll because some of the teams that brought really unpleasant trolls also had some very classy and respectable fans.

It's easy to say who were the "best" on average. The losing teams (Texans, Lions) only had one or two fans show up and their message was: we know we're going to lose, but we respect you and you should remember what it was like to follow a team that was lousy year in, year out. Yes! But we never had Matt Millen.

But the most obnoxious to my mind weren't even on your list. I can't remember a single Donkeys fan who was even remotely polite or constructive. The fact that we lost to their team doesn't excuse the arrogance and unpleasantness -- it only makes the fact that Kansas City kept them out of the play-offs (Kansas City!) more satisfying.

Mike I hate the Donks as well and I am glad they are not in the playoffs or their fans would be swarming all over us right now. Unfortunately I had limited room to list teams, so mostly put our main rivals and the most recent knuckleheads/offenders.

I appreciate that -- but we shouldn't forget the earlier offenders!

As much as I hate to say it, i think thats a good idea. The Chargers have a 50 post minimum before you can start a thread.

I think that something like 19,050 would be a good number.

We might need to take a step in this direction (some post minimum requirement), because recent trolls have not been content to keep their trolling to the visitor's locker room area. Just a thought. I know it always gets more hectic around playoff time but the sheer amount of bs thrown out by the trolls is also getting tiresome at this point.

Some Chargers fans are actually quite gracious and attempt to make a logical point. But others of them seem to just be attention mongering trolls who want to thump their chests. And I don't think we should cater to them.

Denver posters were pretty bad..

Kick in the ass is that last year we were pretty much in agreement that the Chargers fans were, for the most part, the classiest, most respectful, and most knowledgeable fans we had that year.

This year, they're more like what you imagine you'd get if you crossed a Raiduhs Troll with a Jests Troll.

Totally OT, but how did I vote in this poll and my reply is in the "2 min left" thread?

You voted here, the results sent you to the "2 min left" thread in error, and then you posted there in that thread. If you had scrolled up first, you would have seen you were in the wrong thread after voting. It's messed up, we're working on it.

Oh, ok gotcha. I thought I was having some drunk relapse or something

The worst I think are Steeler trolls but since we didn't face them this year I'll go with the Bolts.

Its really strange, and quite unexpected.

Usually Southern California sports fans are pretty docile, kind of like they are on some kind of special sports fan tranquilizers.

But you are right. For whatever reason, they have been the worst so far this season.

I cant even imagine how bad they will be after they lose on Sunday. Hopefully, too stunned to post.
Really man, they were the coolest last year. Musta been the mutal Rodney man-love or something. Ahhhhhh.... that would be it.

Who was the dude with the Uncle Rico sig banner with Jake Plummer on it (making fun of Jake)? He was pretty okay last year if I remember.

What is in your drink?

I posted about this poll/post mess up in another thread. Its something that has been happening in all of the polls. They get crossed with another thread.

Kind of like you and me, so will you please get off my lap.

In your dreams nem - your to involved with harry boy
