JETS Backup QB says Jets had too many 'extremely selfish' players

when your not winning in a big media market everyone is trying to stir up S**T just look with happen to the pats (2009) a team that never talks to the media got pulled in, but when a backup QB who cant beat out mark sanchez starts talking you know thing are bad down there lol

Imagine for a moment that Patriots backup to the backup QB Ryan Mallett called out his teammates and the coaching staff for being selfish. He'd be gone instantly. Jimmy Hoffa gone.

NFL teams are direct reflections of their coaching and management leadership. Rex made it all about himself when he took over and his key players have followed suit. This reminds me of the 25 guys - 25 cabs Red Sox of the 1980s. The Jets need a house cleaning.

Rex does put people in the seats and he keeps the Jets in the headlines in a very crowded sports market, which is what he was brought in to do following the Giants ascendance.

Owner/pornstar Woody Johnson (best name ever, or what?) has some tough decisions to make.

In this case though McElroy might be the proverbial one eyed man in the land of the blind.

It's interesting this kid has come and spoken out...

..I personally think he's their future. I was really p****d when they drafted this guy. He hasn't got the strongest arm, he's not the most athletic guy out there but he has outstanding football smarts, great pocket presence and if you give him the weapons he will deliver.

If we hadn't had drafted a QB like Mallet I'd ahve take this guy as a developmental prospect.

He reminds me of a young Brady... ultimately, he wins football games. Get used to this guy's name because he may cause us a few headaches int he not-to-distant future!

Hmmm, I recognise that post.....

This guy is either very naive or very cunning; either way, he has a lot of guts.

In any event, he definitely punched his ticket out of New Jersey, which might have been his plan (see "cunning" above). He doesn't dis the talent of the team and he specifically avoids dissing Rex directly. But, saying the locker-room is out of control falls squarely on the shoulders of the HC and, on most teams, its QB.

He'll definitely have to work to build the trust of new teammates, especially since even Jets players still have some friends in the league who won't like this. But, all in all, probably better to take an action that leads to getting out of town than staying on a ship that will continue sinking until the Ryan/Sanchize error is over.

I doubt this kid will be back with the Jets next season.......maybe he did this on purpose to get out of that sewer

Judging for the rest of the article Mcelroy "gets it" in a BB sense of the word. The importance of "team" and hard work.

I liked him in the draft. So if he gets cut for speaking the truth, and Hoyer moves on, I'd seriously consider adding him to our QB depth chart.

Plus, it'll just be great if we can turn another Jets castoff into someone of value (ala Woodhead).

I'm loving this!!!!!!!

Visiting Jets Insider has been a guilty pleasure this past few weeks!!!

Yeah, it really has been hasn't it. ROTFLMAO.

I read somewhere recently that the reason Jericho Cotchery asked to be released was because he could no longer stand to be in the receivers meetings any longer, so the issues must have started the year before this. What happened to the YETS was building for some time and it speaks volumes about what Tanny and Rex have wrought over there. It will take time to put it right, time Rex probably won't have.
