No way I want to see the Jets. How would you feel if they beat us AGAIN, back to back years where we were the 1-seed each time? Seeing Fat Rex laughing and Santonio Holmes doing airplane dances on their way out of the stadium like they did last year? Why would you even want to put that possible feeling in front of you ?

Did you forgot how bad last year's loss felt? Can you imagine this possibility ?

Give me any other team.

True. But beating them and knocking them out would be the sweetest kind of victory.

Look, the Pats are going to have to beat two very tough teams in order to get to the Super Bowl. The goal ought to be to have those games be in Foxboro. If they're the #1 seed, I'll take my chances with whomever they have to play.

And how good would it feel to sweep the Jets three times in one season? I want revenge. Why would you be afraid of the Jets?

Beating the Jets and the Ravens at home to get to the Super Bowl... could it get better than that? I think not.
BRING IT ON!

That's another thing, glad you brought it up. What are the odds of beating the same team 3 straight times in the same season ? Not good.

I don't care who we've to play. I still don't think the jets will get in the playoffs. The steelers or ravens don't scare me either. GOD is good!

All this angst over a team that won't make the playoffs.

The only reason the Patriots lost to the Jets last year is they took them too lightly after blowing them out 45-3. Hell, Wes Welker was cracking jokes about the coach's wife. What does that tell ya?

Don't be surprised to see KC and Tenn make the playoffs. Detroit over San Diego, Buffalo over Denver, Tennessee over Houston.

Well that all depends. If you are clearly better than that team, the odds are pretty good.

I believe the numbers are very good if you actually get the chance to do it. It's just that the odds of getting such an opportunity are long.

Actually, between 1970 and 2008 (only information I have based on an article posted on this site this weekend), when teams have met for three times in a season and one team had won the first two games, the team who won the first two have won the third over 63% of the time. So the odds are pretty good that that the Pats win the third game.

It is a myth that teams rarely beat a team three times in one season when given the opportunity. The reality is that the team that won the first two usually wins the third.

I'd much rather see the JETS miss the playoffs altogether because of the ****storm of media criticism that will unleash in NJ where the natives are already tiring of Tubby's BS bravado. I certainly don't want to see the plucky little outfit advance to a rematch that will become all about Rex and his blowhard antics once again.

People around here need to get their short and long term priorities straight. It's not about revenge, we beat 'em twice already this season. It's about what's best for the long term now, and that is Rex and the Sanchise under media seige and on life support because not only could they now beat us, they couldn't even hang on to a wildcard berth...

I would rather see the Jets not get in and watch the shot storm in NY, but we are talking about scenario where they get in. I would love to see the Pats beat them three times in one season if they get that far. Would rather see them miss the playoffs so Rex Ryan can start on his "No Really! The Jets are going to win the Super Bowl this year" material for the 2012 season.

I hope the 6 seed wins no matter so that the Steelers and Ravens have to play in the divisional round and kick the crap out of each other. Screw style points and revenge I'll take the path of least resistance this time around.

I think you're dreamin... the only way KC makes it now is in a three way tie with SD and Denver for the division and Houston has clinched it's division and Pittsburgh has at least clinched a wildcard slot. The only way the JETS don't make it is if they lose one and Cincy wins two or if they both win out but Cincy's SOV improves in the last two weeks.

why can't the Jets lose to the Giants...AND..then lose to the Phins in Miami....is this possibility not viable?...what are the Jets playoff chances then?

I never thought i would see the day that a 32 ranked defense would be a number 1 seed....Not to mention a patriots team.

The Brady or bust era is a enigma:rofl:

The difference is that if Belichick were a .500 coach without a history of winning, he would draw almost no attention and hate. Rex will draw it regardless of the Jet's record because of the bullying, individualism, and punk culture he encourages.

I doubt that. While he wasn't exactly loved out side of NE before 2007, much of the down right hate is a product of Spygate not winning.

Well, the Packers are the #1 seed in the NFC, and they have the 31st ranked defense in the league (by yards allowed, which is also how the Pats are ranked #32).

So the top teams in each conference have gotten there despite the two lowest ranked defenses in football.

I think we can all agree the the packers are still a very talented defense while the pats defense is untalented.

Hey, please accept this really stupid comment because you called me out on my equally stupid, earlier comment.
