I don't have a problem with him. He's not over the top is he? Do we want him bleeped out like he was throwing F bombs? Tolerance should be universal....not just for Michael Vick.
As Americans, we most certainly have the right of free speech, which includes the right to attempt to persuade others.
They proscribed the establishment of a state religion. That's not the same as saying, religion should "remain STRICTLY a private matter between an INDIVIDUAL and their beliefs."
No, it's not. But that has nothing to do with anything I've said as far as the Founders' views on the utility of a religious citizenry.
Is that why the founders added a small thing that defined a separation of church and state. This isn't 1776 either.
No, he's not "grandstanding" his Faith. He's living it out as he's supposed to. If a Muslim player wants to, he's free to as well. If you don't choose to live this way then don't. Nothing is being "imposed" on you any more than anything I see in the world is "imposed" on me. We live in a society. There are different people who believe different things than you do. Deal with it. And judge a football player by the results on the field. Right now its 7-1.No, the fact is he puts it on himself by grandstanding his religion. I can't wait for one of the Muslim players to start praising Allah in his press conferences.
God save the queen? You Americans are funny. Funny I tells ya. Funny.

I can't say I've ever heard of an Australian stand-up comic. Do they exist?
Where did I mention people have the right to come on your private property or use your telephone w/out your permission? So the National Do Not Call Registry and all "No Solicitation" signs are unconstitutional?
Again, I'm not disagreeing with the above sentiments. Just with the notion that the founders insisted that religion "remain STRICTLY a private matter between and INDIVIDUAL and their beliefs."Yes they did because everyone was of the Christian faith, but at that time there was a lot of resentment and hatred toward many of the different disciplines and relatively speaking, they weren't that far removed from the dark ages and the rule of the holy organized crime syndicate found in Rome. The point of my 1776 comment is a quick reminder that times have changed and the importance of separation between church and state is more critical now than ever. I have no problem with the attention that Tebow is getting right now. His message is a lot more positive than the ones that a lot professional athletes are giving these days. Like all of 'em, the Tebow train will end and when it does we'll see how much attention he gets then.
Not at all.catsigator?..what's this...some smarmy pseudo-intellectual play on the word castigator?
And I respect that fact.take your asshat political platitudes and shove 'em where the sun don't shine...this isn't a political board, catsimoronicus...it's a Patriots fan SPORTS board...
My apologies for any offense.

Jim Jeffries. He is gigantic in the UK, is pretty popular in Oz from what I understand, and has a bit of traction over here.
...and, ironically enough, a militant atheist.
