Tim Tebow's Pastor "God is saving the Broncos"

Belief is the key word.

What Tim believes can make the difference on the field.

Is God doing it? No more so than than is done for anyone who believes
in something without doubt.
( which is very difficult in today's world of skeptics and people who bring
others down for believing in something they don't)

Have doubts? Listen or read "the magic of believing" by Charles M Bristol.

Many people think they believe in something but the reality is deep in
their subconscious are many doubts which are as effective as conscious
thought.

Not to worry. Tebow has won 6 games in a row. This will be the 7th game of the streak, therefore he will be resting.

This religious mumbo-jumbo can work any way you want it to. It is as predictive as fortune telling.

BTW, I had the weirdest dream last night about the game.

Gostkoski kicks 22 field goals and the Denver kicker kicks 2.

Patriots win 66-6.

In a way I feel bad for Tebow, because I really think that his beliefs are genuine, and he has every right to express them. I've heard a lot fans and people in the media recently defend his right to profess his religion verbally the way he does, and it certainly is his right. But, if an Islamic player (and there are some in the NFL) who might be as high profile as Tebow were to say "Praise Allah" and bow toward Mecca as often as Tim verbalizes about ************ and kneels his with head bowed in the "Tebow" position, would the fans and media be as inclined to defend that player's right to do so? I'm not posing that as a rhetorical question, I'm just not sure.

Somebody's got to say it for the sake of sanity: the whole Tebow "phenomenon" has nothing to do with God and everything to do with religion.

Yeap, because its fanatics like Tebow that give God a bad name, in my view. These are the kinds of people that try to force their views on the world and disrespect other peoples believes, causing conflict and death. God is suppose to be about love, caring and helping each other., but religion has become more of a cooperate franchise looking to increase their customer base.

..I can't remember God ever saying to create a trillion dollar business franchise in his name,, have them all wear black uniforms , and create a management structure so that One man in Italy can speak for me.

Tebow's parents were missionaries in the Philippines. Missionaries only help those places to increase their customer base and spread belief.
Brees is very religious, but hardly talks about it, only in private or if asked. I doubt God cares if you thank him on national TV. I thought it was suppose to be a private thing, and I think it even puts the opposing team down, its kind of rude to say God likes me better than you.

Tebow bothers me, and I believe in God, because Im here to watch football not be preached to by a missionaries son who see himself as the hand of God... I think pride is a sin the last time I checked.

Tebow should just keep it to himself and join the 700 club, which coincidently, is his number of passing yards

.. before we start hearing thank Allah, Buda, and Moses speeches every sunday

but it is pretty obvious Tebow is living on a preyer

I'm ok with this game being pegged as a battle of good vs. evil. They don't play "Carmina Burana" before Pats home games because the Pats aren't evil.

Nikolai, your not fooling anyone, everyone nows Brady is just and evil apparition spawned by Sith BB's twisted dark genius mind to rule the NFL. I mean come on theirs no way Brady is human

In light of all the fun we are making about the power of God leading the Broncos to victory is the fact that there is probably not a better guy to have as a teammate in the NFL than Tebow.

The guy seems genuine,a guy that has exceeded expectations his whole football life and a guy that can motivate those that have given up hope in a game and probably lifts up that locker room when the team is down by 20 at halftime.

Tebow is the type of guy I would want my daughter to bring home to meet,he is just a guy you really can't dislike and doesnt say or act disrespectful of others in this game.

Now with all that being said.....for the sake of the game,I hope we can sack his ass 6 times on Sunday and intercept twice.

Tim Tebow's Pastor: God Is Saving the Broncos | TMZ.com

I guess God doesn't like any other team but the Broncos and every other team is full of evil players .

If this is true about Tebow, then I wonder why a highly religious man like the late Reggie White who was also an off the field Minister and a devoted man of God didn't win 5 Super Bowl rings

Wonder how he'll spin it when the Broncos are unceremoniously thrashed in the playoffs.

Who says they even make the playoffs?

The Jets or Titans may beat them out but they have the current tiebreaker on NY so they have the edge right now but must beat the Pats to ensure they have a good chance to get in.

If the Broncos lose this week, the Raiders will probably go on to win the AFC West.

ha ha..............

Tom Brady, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a small Patriots flag in the window.
"This house is yours for eternity Tom, said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."
Tom felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a huge 3-story mansion with Orange and Blue sidewalks and drive ways, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Broncos logo flag waving, a swimming pool in shape of a horse, a Broncos logo in every window, and a Tim Tebow jersey on the front door.
Tom looked at God and said "God, I’m not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 3 Super Bowls, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."
God said "So what’s your point Tom?"
"Well, why does Tim Tebow get a better house than me?"
God chuckled, and said "Tom, that’s not Tim’s house, it’s mine"

There are a lot of NFL players who are religious, but for some reason a guy who "Tebows" on the field gets all of the attention.. maybe I am old school, but always thought that you did good works in private and did not seek public adulation for them.

Guess some folks need a savior, rather than a good football player..

This man would disagree with you. Your lack of faith in the chosen one is disturbing.

In all seriousness though...can the religious nutters leave sports alone? there's plenty of other **** for them to **** around with.

True, but its goes both ways. The non religious are so overeacting to all of this too. Everyone needs to just chill. Its football. You have rapists and murderers playing in the league and some people are more ticked off at a guy, because why, he loves Jesus? And the believers need to stop turning him into King David. I liked Bob Costas' piece at halftime Sunday night where he pointed out, Tebow has never said God wants the Broncos to win. I think too much is being put on this kid from both sides and its ridiculous to take away from what he his doing on the field. In 2001 Patriot fans had a qb who didn't lead four comebacks in a row, had a great defense, a solid running game, and threw for 86 yards in the Super Bowl before the last drive yet people here were annointing him. Really take away the Jesus stuff, put him on the Patriots, and if he had led the Patriots from 1-4 to 8-5 we'd be saying MVP! Just be honest.

That was funny........back in 2003 when it appeared here as a Manning-Brady joke.

I have kids younger than that joke.

No, the fact is he puts it on himself by grandstanding his religion. I can't wait for one of the Muslim players to start praising Allah in his press conferences.

Sigh.

I'm not religious at all but I'd like to think if there WAS a God he'd have a lot more better things to do then help someone win a meaningless football game.

You know what's saving the Broncos? Their defense and their kicker.

Prater kicks a 59 yd FG to tie it and a 51 yd FG to win the game and all we hear about is how "Tebow does it again!".
