The Arrington PI call was incorrect.

If you say so, then it must be true...

This is the same giants team that lost to Seattle last month in NY and gave up 36 pts to them. They also barely beat Miami last week. They didnt have Bradshaw or Nicks today which makes it even worse. Most of the other legit teams in the NFL seem to be getting better each week, it feels like NE is going in the opposite direction. Right when TB threw the last TD pass, I knew that NY wouldnt have much trouble marching down the field for atleast a FG. Its sad that you cannot even feel confident anymore with only a minute and a half left in the game with the lead. The offense needs to take a lot of blame the also, they've become way too predictable and TB has not been himself. Blown chances, turnovers, penalties, etc. You dont really expect that from the Pats but times have changed. They're still a pretty good team but nobody is intimidated by them anymore. Best thing to do is lower your expectations and you probably won't get as stressed after losses. I think they'll still finish with 11 or 12 wins but I haven't seen much to make me believe that this team can go deep in the playoffs. Just enjoy the ride and hopefully they find a way to deal with some of the issues before its too late. Big game next week, a win in NY would be a great start.

Play the clown all you want. That wasn't pass interference.

It was PI. If he was looking at the ball then it wouldn't have been. If he didn't touch the Receiver it wouldn't have been.

Re-watch the play. Brushing someone's shirt is not PI

No it really wasn't. He was not playing the football and impeded the receiver. If he turned back on the ball he was fine, but he didnt and that is the rule.

I'm watching the Steelers game and it just makes me sad.

I wish so much that Brady had legitimate wide receivers to throw the ball to. Welker is great, but he isn't big, or overly fast. Ocho is a waste of space, Branch is beginning to disappear.

Why can't we have a stable full of 6' or more hungry players who can make things happen.

Was it just me or did Phillip Adams actually look pretty good out there? Other than the play where Barden outmuscled him and ran for a nice gain after the catch, he didn't seem to hurt us. Made some good plays too, BB may have a find in him.

Carter got some good pressure again, one forced a pick. Great signing.

The "Why?" is easy:

Jackson over Jennings
Tate over Wallace
McCourty over Bryant
Moss' decline and/or jettisoning

Whether you were/are fine with those moves or not, the question isn't really "Why?", the question is "How can they fix this right away?".

Price is 6'; I'd like to see the Pats bring in a replacement for Branch (who I don't see returning next year) who's at least 6' as well. 6'3" or 6'4" would be even better.

The idea that Jennings could have been a Patriot is almost enough to make me cry

The issue seems to be talent identification and value assignment more than anything.

Given what's been written about Mr. Bryant's difficulties in Dallas, I can only imagine the complaints I'd be reading about.

All in all, I can't really complain about that one, even if McCourty isn't producing this year.

Jackson over Jennings, now there's a different story altogether (though, FWIW, Jennings is only 5'11").

Barring an 8 second miracle, Flacco has just led his team to a come from behind victory against the Steelers.

Yes our secondary would be in great shape if we passed on McCourty for a WR who shows up half the time.

if the steelers defense allows stuff like that, i feel better for the Pats D to do the same

if it makes any one feel better, same situation steelers lost the game tonight to

That juggernaut of a Steelers offense, which shredded the Patriots last week, has 6 points so far tonight.....

They must have heard you Deus:

vs. Pats 365 passing, 98 rushing
vs. Ravens 330 passing, 70 rushing

Well it looks like the Steelers just blew their game against the Ravens similarly to how the Pats lost today at the last second. I guess all Steeler fans need to jump off the ledge and start proclaiming that their team is done too.

Seriously though, people need to calm down and realize that the AFC is completely wide open and the Pats have time to continue working on the defense and offense over the next 8 games. Yes the defense had some mental lapses at the end of the game and the offense sputtered through the first half, but each week some issues seem to get resolved. Remember it took the Packers until the end of the regular season last year to really start gelling before they went on their Super Bowl run.
