I think Brady deserves some blame here, also. He has been a front-runner since the 2006 AFCCG. Since helping to blow that lead to the Colts, I can't recall him truly pulling us out of adversity. He racked up big numbers in 2007 and 2010 - but showed nothing in the big games. I see him as the early 2000's Peyton Manning at this point. That stupid seam route to Gronk is so predictable he has thrown 3 picks on it this year. I am just so upset.

Given that he put the Patriots ahead with less than 2 minutes to go, "frontrunner" is about as ridiculous a charge as there is for this game.

? I don't care, I don't care ?

Screw em. I am glad they lost. **** this team. **** the league overall. It sucks. Waste of time. I'm only into the Patriots, hate the rest of the league. If the Pats suck then there is no reason to waste time with the league. I'm going to watch the Jets game next week, but I won't get my hopes up. I'm pretty much done watching football this year though. And this will be my last day posting on this site for the rest of this season. **** this year.

Re: Tell me again, Why did we draft Vereen and Ridley?

Thanks for showing off your cluelessness. Meriweather hasn't played a snap on defense in three weeks. Sanders is a backup in Atlanta. Nobody else in the league wants Bodden or LeVoir right now.

Score: .5/4 (with a half point for Sanders at least being active for another team)

Sanders was a back-up for the Pats as well, but you damn well know you'd want him out there over Barrett, Brown or Ihedigbo.

He put it together for that drive - agreed. Unfortunately, the did much to contribute to the deficit, also. Perhaps I am not using the word correctly, but it just seems like Brady is good for a occasional stat padding game but just seems to not perform well in big games against teams with decent defenses (Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Giants, to name a few).

Re: Tell me again, Why did we draft Vereen and Ridley?

Colts on the phone, they need help in the suck4luck race, trying to change Vinatieri for supergostkowski

What exactly did he show? That he can no longer play? It's a good thing for him Taylor Price can't get on the field to save his life or he might be on the bench for good, or out the door.

What are you people, on dope?

Would help if you watched the games. Brady was the one with the issues today. Not Chad. And it would seem you are the one on dope since you refuse to see the truth.

Both interceptions were Brady's fault because the passes were poor thrown (Flat, not in the place for his receivers to make the catch).

Heck, Welker and Gronkowski saved Brady's arse today on several throws that were not where they should have been..

On the plus side, I thought Deaderick was looking pretty good.

Bill needs to go after this season or hire someone who has fresh new ideas as as a defensive coordinator.

I don't want Bill coaching this defense by himself anymore. Bill play calls like a senile person trying to use a iphone.

Bill isn't coaching the defense "by himself". He's got 4 other coaches helping him. Pepper Johnson, Josh Boyer, Matt Patricia, and Patrick Graham.

A new DC won't change what you are seeing on the field. Putting guys in positions where they can be successful is. Having 2 new faces on the defense isn't helping matters. Moving Patricia back to the Safeties instead of having a qualified DB coach is something that is questionable.

Brady is throwing to receivers who don't get separation. Watch almost any other game on television, and you'll see receivers breaking free by 5-10 yards a couple of times a game. Then watch the Patriots play. A receiver is "open" if Brady has more than 5 feet of distance. Welker is the only one who can break loose, and he plays down low where there's lots of traffic, which means that breaking free still results in a small window.

When this team has an outside receiver that can actually get open again, Brady will look every bit as good as he has in the past. Last year was insane, not because the offense was so good, but because Brady was so good that he was able to make the offense look amazing despite its obvious problems.

Do you really not know what waterboarding is?

In terms of KR and PR, have we gotten anything from the special teams other than fumbling?
I guess the football gods have chosen this season as the get back to the normal distribution in terms of T.O.

The Pats were one of the top 10 teams in terms of PR prior to Edelman's injury.

Kick returns are another story.. They've not been good. And it's more of an issue with the blocking than the actual returners. Every return I see, there are no lanes. The front 7 just don't slow anyone down and so there are 8-9 guys within 5 yards of the kick returner by the time things start to get going.

And the 3 guys who used to be the wedge, also tend to not block well.. I've been less than impressed with Scott O'Brien when it comes to his special teams work this year.

sorry for the misuntuding if it was. i just hate the kind of people that make cruel jokes. as i said i hope everyone is okay always and everyone is fine wherever they/we are

The Arrington PI shouldn't have been called. Manningham is the one who initiated contact. Defensive players are supposed to be entitled to the space they are standing in.

Gotta disagree with your other assessments as well. Connolly actually was very good. He got pulled on a couple of occasions for Wendell and it was Wendell who couldn't handle things.

Light handled things well. Boley wasn't Light's responsibility. Boley was Mankins responsibility since Light was already engaged..

Dude, you blame the refs way too much. Refs made some bad calls, but in general, were fair and consistent. There were calls that could have been made on both teams that they let go.

That TD by Gronk, he could have been called for a PI. Earlier in the Jets/Bills game, Holmes did the exact same thing and was called for a PI.

Their TE was nailed twice on two separate occasions on third down passes, once by Spikes and the other by Chung, the refs could have called both of them as hitting a defenseless receiver just like they've been doing all year, but they swallowed their flags. So while there were plays that we got shafted on, there were also plays that we got away with.

BTW, that PI on Arrington will be called 100 out of 100 because that's a PI based on the rulebook:

(a) Contact by a defender who is not playing the ball and such contact restricts the receiver’s opportunity to make the catch.

Ive read this a few times and don't quite understand. They were down by 4 and needed a TD to go ahead...What did you expect them to do? If you didn't notice, they scored on 4th down. They moved the ball down the field quickly with passes. Guys were open and Brady hit them...not sure what you wanted them to do.

The problem that most people have is that, instead of RUNNING the ball on 1st and second down against a Giants team that is weak against the run, the Pats threw the ball and didn't take time off. I don't blame this on Brady. I blame this on O'Brien since he's the one calling the plays in and Brady clearly didn't audible out of the run into pass plays. It shows a lack of good time management by O'Brien. At worst, you force the Giants to burn TOs. At best, you run quite a bit of time off.

OH, Gronkowski was not open on either 1st or 2nd down on that series..

yeah, agreed .I have a huge problem with the coaching of the DB's....a five year old KNOWS you have to turn your head and looks for the ball instead of running into the WR with your hands up staring in his face. Arrington turns on the PI and it's an easy INT...technique $uckage...and it's on the dyam coach. ...I wish we had access to visual teaching points during actual practices to see WTF is going on with the secondary during reps

You hope a deceased person is fine wherever they are???

That may be the first time I have ever heard a person say 'I hope that dead person is fine'.

If he wasn't a sinner he is certainly fine and in good hands,if he wasn't a good person in life then he needs an air conditioner badly.

The Arrington PI call was incorrect.
