Bruschi to Ochocinco: 'Join the system, buddy'

Yep, then he did the same thing with Edelman, Law Firm, Branch....
What's next ..... Brady calling out players because they are known to watch So You Think You Can Dance

Tedy has every right to rip a player who he feels isn't living up to the legacy that Tedy was a huge part of creating. I'm sure that Brady also pulled Chad aside and had some choice words for Chad.

I really doubt Brady wasted even a moments thought on the subject. When this team starts tilting windmills against things said against them in the media is when I know that their time is over.

And its true that Teddy will always be a part of the extended family, but that doesn't make him a part of the current team and doesn't give him the right to question a players work ethic based on nothing but a tweet.

I love you people who act like Twitter is a part time job. News flash: Hundreds of players all around the league are on Twitter, and it doesn't take away time that they could be spending in the film room. When Edelman tweets that him and Fletcher and Gronk are heading to a steakhouse to eat, do you get pissed that he's on Twitter and eating dinner instead of being in the film room?

Twitter, Madden, whatever. I recall Brady making a pointed reference to how caught up some of the youngsters on this team were with video gaming. Said it never dawned on him to get caught up in it because he has plenty of real game film to wade through. I know lots of people would claim it's a harmless distraction, something guys do to relax after a day at the stadium. Brady doesn't relax in season as long as he has game prep to work on. There were rumors last season that a number of youngsters couldn't wait to get their work and workouts in so they could get home and chill playing Madden... I think most of them are no longer with us...

The mantra here is faith, family and football, in that order. Hobbies and passtimes are for the off season or after you have taken care of all of the above and provided the proof in the form of your performance.

I hope I am wrong but at the end of the season we may very well say " was there really a big difference on the field between Randy Moss dogging it out there or Chad looking lost out there?".

I can see there being similar results from the Moss of 2010,even though it's just week 1,some are holding out hope Chad puts on his 'S' shirt and starts to play like Superman.....doubt it.

All I can say is thank God we have 2 tight ends that are just incredibly talented along with an overachiever in Welker and a wonderful compliment to Brady in Deion Branch to make up for what I think is just a clown who wants a ring so he can start a new TV show in March called "Ochocinco,The Comedian,The Champion",to debut on the Comedy Channel at 8:00:rolleyes:

Bruschi thinks Chad, working hard before games or not , is along for the ride to have a good chance to grab a ring without contributing, that's really what I think Tedy believes, and you know what?,I agree whole heartedly with him and love the way he is calling him out....way to go Bru!!!

Tedy isn't questioning Ocho's work ethic, he is questioning Ocho's frame of mind.

He is correct. If you're in awe, you're a spectator.

Give me a f'n break. Chad didn't do anything. Bruschi created this all by himself. Just because Tedy was a great Patriot doesn't excuse him ranting like an idiot.

This is just stupidity. If you think that there weren't others who immediately thought the same thing as Tedy, then you are part of the problem. I guarantee you that there was going to be PLENTY of reporters all over Chad about his tweet. Thinking otherwise is just being naive..

Tom Brady said:
Really it’s about winning the game and moving on to the next week and making improvements so that the margin or error may be smaller. That’s what we have to be prepared to do.

THIS is what it's about. Chad clearly hasn't figured that out yet. And the tweet proves that. If he does, he'll be a very potent part of this offense.

Rodney Harrison backs Bruschi!

Just heard Rodney .... he backs and agrees with what Tedy said.

Anyone who doesn't just does NOT understand the Patriot Way. Period!

Ridley sounds like an F'ing idiot. In his wildest wet dreams, he might become Rashard Mendenhall - great talent and production but a bone head who doesn't know what he tweets/says could be construed as.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with either Ridley's or Johnson's tweets.

Why people are so obsessed with psychoanalyzing these things is beyond me.

Ocho has been around the block and is acting like a school girl. I follow him on twitter and he cant stop talking about his Prius and where he plans to eat today. He was a big Star in Cinci, but he not a Star anymore in NE as far as Im concerned.

You and Bruschi follow him on Twitter, and OCHOCINCO is the one acting like a school girl? :D

They are trying to compare a clown like Ocho tweeting crap for years to another player who is tweeting, but far from out of control.

You can't compare other players on this team who tweet occasionally to a crazed twitterholic and media mongrel like Ocho....it's ******ed.

If there was a Championship given on Twitter for athletes,Ocho would be defending champ every year

We've been down this path before. Ocho has looked completely lost and confused out there, he still has a little time but Bruschi's right, time to get on board. He is acting like a starstruck fan, everybody else on offense seems to get it. Playtime is over, time to grow up or move on.

From Galloway's wiki page

Galloway signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots on March 14, 2009. Although healthy, he was inactive for Weeks 4-6 of the 2009 season due to a lack of production and difficulty in learning the Patriots offense. He was released on October 2.

So Galloway in 6.5 months couldn't learn the offense that Ochocinco is having trouble with for 6 weeks.

Psychoanalyzing Tweets has become a favorite pastime here, whether it be Spikes or Ochocinco.

What if you are a Pats player and were in awe watching Brady perform as a magician on MNF but didn't tweet about it. Is said player still a spectator?

The question should be as follows: assuming Ocho's tweets are appropriate, to what extent does his use of Twitter affect his ability to play football.

So far, the answer has been not at all. And judging roughly by the responses in this thread, this is simply another Rorschach test.

Thats even worse. He is a phsycologist now?

Why compare him to Galloway? Why not compare him to, say, Gaffney?

I really doubt Brady wasted even a moments thought on the subject. When this team starts tilting windmills against things said against them in the media is when I know that their time is over.

Brady pulling Chad aside would have had nothing to do with the media. It would have had everything to do with Chad focusing. Clearly this is something you don't grasp.

And its true that Teddy will always be a part of the extended family, but that doesn't make him a part of the current team and doesn't give him the right to question a players work ethic based on nothing but a tweet.

His name is TEDY. There is only one "D" in it. I'd have thought a long time Pats fan would know that. As for what Tedy has the right to do, who the hell are you to say he doesn't have the right to question Chad's work ethic? Tedy has every right based on what he SAW on the field and what Chad tweeted the next day, though he wasn't questioning the work ethic so much as the frame of mind. Clearly you are a person who doesn't get it. Tedy's EARNED the right to question Chad's frame of mind. Just like Steve Grogan or John Hannah or any number of other Patriot greats who have come before. Same around the league. I have never taken issue with guys like Howie Long or Terry Bradshaw, or Walter Payton (rest his soul) who had the balls to stand up and question players on their former teams. They earned that right.

It's more than just twitter, some wonder if Ocho's head is in the game or distracted by Hollywood fame off the field.

You have to be focused on helping your team win, even if you are working hard in practice it better show on the field or Belichick will wave bye bye.

See, I thought there was a huge difference between Ridley's and Chad's comments.

Ridley's comments were that of a youngster biding his time. Chad's were that of a veteran who is awestruck by how great Brady can perform. It would be like Sidney Crosby lining up on the ice with Mario Lemieux and just sitting there watching as Lemieux did his thing..

Chad is part of the team and he needs to act like it. Being in AWE means you aren't doing your job because you're too focused on what's going on around you and not focused on what you should be doing.
