My thoughts:
So lets not bother discussing Tate. Gone. With a capital G, not just becuase it started a sentence, but because he's ******* Gone.
Ihedigbo is not making the team either.
Slater solidified his spot, but the good news (for me), is that I figured out who he reminds me of. You know that picture from the internet of the news reporter, reported on "wanted rapist" and in the upper corner of the screen there's the cartoon sketch of the a guy that looks exactly like him? Put the hair on Slater, and it's Slater. Sorry for the disgression. Slater, on team, no doubt.
Based on this game alone, Ricky Brown, who I hadn't really seen before, had a solid showing. Not sure how he stacks up against White or Koutouvides, but he didn't look bad.
Same goes for Ventrone, he had a solid showing, but against back of the lineup guys. Hard to compare,so I have no idea how to interpret it, but obviously he did good.
One of the more important storylines of the night, especially in regards to the roster cuts, IMO, is both Wright and Ellis lining up outside. Before this game... Wright had been lining up inside in the beginning of training camp, and I think that was what was expected for the most part. Speculation on Ellis went both ways. Not to say things can't change, but you have to think that based on today, their primary positions are both DE. Which is bad news for Anderson/Cunningham, and good news for Love/Warren, and maybe even opens up a spot for Richard??? Sorry if the last bit doesn't make much sense, I've had a bit to drink.
O-line depth still obviously lacking, but I can't point any fingers at this point. I'm sure someone with the benefit of DVR and sobriety will chime in.
