Don't get me wrong, I love that the Pats are in midseason form and look to have the potential to be dominant on both sides of the ball. What I don't like is that I got nothing to talk about this week.

I mean how much ball washing can we do to Brady, Mayo, Carter, and Woodhead this week? If this was a regular season game, I wouldn't have this problem because the game meant something. But I am already bored about the talk about this game because there is nothing really to talk about as concerns coming out of the game other than the back ups and the injuries.

I kinda feel like Belichick who is probably scouring the game tapes to find anything to point out during the team review of the game film.

I don't think he'll have a hard time finding stuff. For the blowout it was, there was plenty to work on all around. I'd bet Belichick also sees merit pointing out when things are done right, to reinforce that.

It certainly crushes any trade Hoyer to get value before he leaves as a UFA because Mallet can be the emergency backup talk.

I still don't know who he was throwing that to. I thought that a WR had fallen down, but it didn't happen. I also thought he might be throwing it away but got hit. It didn't look like that either.

I wanna see Haynesworth so much on this DL lined up with Wilfork.

Yeah, the 2nd half gives him plenty to yell about, particularly with the rooks which is good.

This will make you feel better. Clearly the patriots are doooooooooomed!

EagleTribune.com : Pats sport new look up front, but huge holes in secondary

Thanks! Much better! Seriously, the Pats were only good because they schemed? There are huge holes in the secondary when Freeman only completed 50% of his passes?

I didn't see much scheming other than allowing the Pats be agressive rushing the passer. I also saw a lot of good coverage (with a few misteps)which allowed the pressure to come.

Meh....... just another hack writing something to help justify keeping his job.

Although I don't agree with the dire overtone of the column, he does have a point: it's a preseason game.

Oh yeah, and it's a preseason game against a team with virtually nobody over the age of 25 that may have possibly been a bit lax after a good game last week.

Come on, we deride other teams for being the perennial August champions, but look at how some Pats fans are acting after two exhibition games.

Am I more confident in the Pats?

Absolutely.

But taking a step back and a deep breath before we assume too much is probably a good thing right now.

Why hate the games, the preseason is just that nice appetizer right before the main course. With the Pats already out to a good start, it is very exciting. I expect the Pats to have a great season especially if they can stay healthy. It is kind of fun to see all the moving parts come together. The dwindling of the roster, new player additions and hopefully the team raises the Lombardi Trophy at season's end. I love every moment.

I hate games when the teams I support crush the opposition. I hate watching the Patriots win. Hate it. (Sarcasm intended for the n3rds unable to detect it).

Seriously, everyone knows it's just the pre-season. Belichick could find fault in a perfect game. He knows what these games are for. Come round 1, the litmus test begins.

You are right....second half OL play will give BB plenty to talk about. Even SOME First half OL play was very sloppy...and almost got TFB killed. I saw at least 3 plays where T.B. FL came crashing into Brady's knees. This just can NOT happen! I like Hoyer...but I really don't want to see him out there! Matt Light is still, and has always been inconsistent and generally gets Brady crushed a few times a game....koppen is getting older and slower.....If this team has a weakness it would be on the OL....
