ESPN radio reporting as I'm typing that Derrick Mason is taking a physical for Jets If passed J Cotchery would be released.

Makes sense from the Jets' perspective. Mason is older, yes, but some people are saying that Cotchery's injury from last year is still lingering. This move would be kinda pointless if that wasn't true, so at this point it seems like it is. There's some risk re: chemistry on this one, as far as Sanchez only retaining 1 of his top 3 WR targets from last year, but at least in this case they're actually replacing their guy with a comparable player (unlike Plaxico, who probably isn't even in the same league as Braylon, at this point).

Mason isn't as easy to land as some in the swamp may think, even at an advanced age. Seems he's been texting back and forth with Coach Harbaugh for the last couple of days and Harbaugh now says Ozzie is working on it... The JETS may yet wish they hadn't cut and alienated Cotchery or alienated Braylon...

Other than the thread titles i see here I really don't know what they are up to and i could care less. They have a very good team ... which is good because we need to be better and they have to be better and that's the NFL.
