Vareen: board binky and Belichick's choice at RB.

Nice fit. To pat myself on the back, when I did my RB breakdown I ended up saying that he was the single best skills/value choice -- a genuine 3-down jack of all trades.

Too early///////////////

If there's a guy you want you need to take him before someone else does. Some call that "reaching" - if the player is good it's no reach.

I like this pick. It may have just gotten a lot tougher for Faulk to make the final squad.

On my list of 9, Ingram and Vereen were my two RBs. Think I'm pleased?

:singing::singing::singing:

Great draft so far!!!

Hey, who needs Mark Ingram when you can pick Ben, I mean Shane, Vereen....

:rocker: :rocker: :rocker: WIN!!! :rocker: :rocker: :rocker:

#64 ~ RB Shane Vereen ~ 5.10/210

Shane Vereen commands an explosive blend of Burst, Fluidity, Lateral Agility, and sudden Lateral Velocity.

He boasts exceptional Diagnostic Skills, Processing Speed, and Vision, working with his Line to set up Blocks.

And he commands frightening Verticity: the ability to explode out of his Breaks.

In a word: dangerous physical skills and the brains to apply them with deadly force.

I'd start to look for the pass rush placation to come later in the form of Romeus. I'd be surprised if they took Reed. I'm thinking they get a guard and Vereen this round.

Well damn, good call

third down back!!!! THANK GOD we can get rid of the Woodhead guy now, he was really a problem last year. Another huge reach, am I the only one sitting here going HUH?

I can see the LT in round one, I can see trading down from 28, but the rest of this, I can't understand. Money says they trade #60 into next year. Lets face it, everyone was hoping for a project LT, a CB made of glass, and Woodhead's replacement with the first four picks!

WOW kid looks fast and can catch the ball in screens!! great pick

Nice. :rocker:

It's about time we actually cheered for a draft pick. LOL

Vereen is a nice pick. He gives us a home run threat that we haven't had and looks to be a nice pass catcher as well.

Now let's grab Bailey at 60!

I don't know what you just said....but I just got a Semi:rocker:

From the highlights, he kinda looks like a black woodhead lol.

was my second favorite rb after Taiwan Jones. Safer pick than jones, but not as explosive.
better all around though

Pats take SHANE VEREEN!!! I LOVE this pick!! Gentlemen, We got us a Weapon on offense!

I like the pick. I had him ahead of Todman and Hunter. Just think we would of gotten him at 74.

Who is announcing 60 for us .... NEM :confused3:

I'm happy with the Patriots draft because they've addressed team needs. It's your misfortune that you're so blinded by your disgust for that fact that you can see through the **** coming off your keyboard to notice.

I like the pick, but really ... isn't 5'10" a bit tall for our offense?
