Please post your comments here on this thread before, during, and after today's 2nd and 3rd round Patriots draft.

Some notes of interest. Today's draft will start at 6PM Eastern. I believe that each team will have 7 minutes per pick in round 2.

Round 3 and all other rounds each team will have 5 minutes to make their picks. Please correct me if I'm wrong but that is how I understand it.

Here is a draft tracker which will shows each teams picks per round and should be updated when trades are done. In the upper right, there is a list of their 10 best players available and should be updated as picks are made.

Note: you can watch a small video of Nate Solder, by his name, on the 1st round tracker.

Also here is a ranking of the prospect which now will mean less as the rounds go bye, but may be of interest.

Also the trade value chart, which comes in handy for Patriots fans.

So what will BB do with #33? Trade it? Take Bowers? Or, draft another TE?

TRADE DOWN!! :rocker:

I'm one of the few that was wicked happy with round 1! :rocker:

Solder's ceiling is huge. Dante and BB are going to make this kid an All-pro like Vollmer. The pats now have two young franchise tackles at both ends.

Pats get a 2012 1st rounder and a 2011 2nd from Neworleans, win!

There's still alot of great NFL players waiting to be had:

Brooks Reed, Akeem Ayers, Brandon Harris, Leonard Hankerson, Taiwan Jones, etc.

Lets go Day 2!!

Say it with me, The New England Patriots have traded the 33rd pick to the Oakland Raiders.......

i am expecting a trade down with 33 (not a big one) the one of the top OLBs I am hoping to smile

I'm keeping an eye on Sam Acho of Texas and Cliff Matthews of South Carolina.

Matthews overall ranking is not 2nd or 3rd, but his value to 3-4 teams as a rush LB is much greater.

Allen Bailey will become a Patriot tonight.

Da'Quan Bowers seems like a good kid. Faced a lot of tragedy recently in his life, speaks well and does the right things off the field (plays in a gospel band). Would be thrilled if he was picked at 33.

May day 2 be a successful one!

I used to love the draft... followed it for months and knew nearly every prospect selected in the first 3 rounds for a good 5 year stretch.

Last night was pretty terrible though all-around... it's just feeling really tired and stagnant, they need to do something about it. Glad to hear Goodell get booed at least, that guy is such a piece of sh*t, honestly.

And once again the Pats completely let everyone down as far as the "excitement" or "sexiness" surrounding their picks. Not saying Solder isn't going to be great or something, and maybe it is better to be low profile with your strategy... but from a fan's perspective, it just makes me not even care about the draft.

Did you really expect an exciting draft in the 1st round from BB? :)
Round 2 is where the Pats will make their hay, so stay tuned!

So if the Pats make three picks in round two, that will give them 10 second round draft picks in the last three years! That is just mind boggling!

The bengals were on the phone with the Packers for Dalton, I expect they want to hop the Bills. If we trade down from #33 to #35 I wouldn't mind.

I'm with you there I really miss the Saturday into Sunday drafts.

that would be awesome- pick up a 4 or 5 to go down 2 slots, while the Bills and Bengals figure not to pick a defender we like anyway

Really?

I think it's more interesting, I'll really be paying attention to the players we "need" and see if they fall to us.

All I want is the Pats to address OLB early. Other than Quinn and Miller, there is no OLB taken that would fit their system. Lots to choose from.
