Clayborn is a great pick for TB. Phil Taylor to KC, Costanzo to Indy, Jimmy Smith to Philly and maybe Bowers or Ingram to NO

NFLN guys said that colts were possibly waiting to pick solder .probably why bb picked. Last time bb made a pick to avoid losing a player to the colts it was LoMo for addai .... if that is the case.

For those suggesting that's it for Light, I'm not so sure.
Solder may well need a year or two.
It certainly changes the dynamics of the Light negotiations.

Do the Patriots want a rookie lacking experience or power protecting Brady?
Or do they want a multi-year deal at big money with someone in front of their top pick?

Note Solder put up 21 bench presses - not everything, but extremely low for an OT. Multiple WR's break 20.

Belichick has said a couple times you only get franchise LT's at this spot.
But an interesting pick with all this defense available.

A guy that is 6'9" probably has insanely long arms, which means he may have functional strength that doesn't show up for benching.

Is thiw going to be one of the picks that get trashed by the Chcken Littles all offseason? If so, it is most likely a great pick and i am all for it.

There's actually less of that than I expected here. I think picks like Mankins and Vollmer and McCourty and the entire '10 draft have tempered some of that.

lets not suck. lets not reach by one fcking time. Solder was avalaible at 28 for sure. Thats outrageous.

Seymour for Solder. LOL

I would like to see them take Heyward or Wilkerson at 28 if either of them are on the board.

However, if both are gone, then perhaps they take Ingram (if he falls) or make a trade down?

BB drafted another TE in Solder

Solder was the 45th ranked TE coming out of high school by Rivals.

Solder was not getting past the NYG or Colts.

cam jordan to Colts...thats its doomsday

Are all my fellow Solder fans celebrating?

Cheers to you, Box! I can't claim to have been a loyalist, though...I was highly enamored of Solder early on but I talked myself out of the OT position in general in the 1st.

He's certainly ideal raw material for Dante, I can get excited about the pick.

Seymour wouldn't be here. He's out to the highest bidder.

You know jack **** about the draft if you think it was a certainty that the second best tackle in the draft was going to get past teams like the Giants and Colts.

Mankins put up 21 reps at 225 too.

I say re-sign Light to start this season while Solder gets worked up the way Vollmer did. If Light doesn't come back, Kaczur starts until Solder is ready. I see Solder as another Vollmer in terms of being raw, but very athletic. Treat him the same way and it should all be good.

My board is short for 28 and 33

Bowers
Heyward
Ingram
Jordan
Reed
Watkins
A. Williams
Wilkerson

I alluded to Solder being the pick when the Pats hired his strength coach -- but no one wanted to "connect the dots" a month ago...

Trade up for Cam Jordan?
Wait for Justin Houston, who will probably be available due to the marijuana test? Houston had 10 sacks at 3-4 OLB.

Well, I was underwhelmed! Thought Carimi if anything would have been better there...more a powerful blocker. But what can you say...maybe this guy can be another vollmer. HE is a little too tall, I would think.

So I am warming up to him.

Surprised they didn't get cam jordan though.
