In retrospect, yes, but they were down 14-3 in the second half.

It's a lot easier to have this mentality when you're up 7-0 in the first half.

What bugs me the most about this is why BB did not override BOB. I mean if an amateur idiot like me can spot the Jets playing heavy coverage, then a pro like BB surely could?

Yep. Patriots blew a golden opportunity when the decided not to take advantage of the Jets dressing FOUR defensive lineman and ELEVEN defensive backs last week. They pretty much ceded the run and our offensive brain trust did not figure this out until the fourth quarter.
