To choose between adding CB Nnamdi asomugha or WR Calvin Johnson to the Pats, who would you choose? Who would have a bigger impact on the team?

Re: If it was your choice...

Calvin freakin Johnson. Think about it..Johnson is in his 4th year or 3rd year in the league I think and has a future in improving as well. Our CB's next year with McCourty and Bodden(if he's fully healthy) we will have one of the best two CB's in the league. Calvin Johnson can keep defenses honest and open up things for our tight ends and allow Welker and Branch to be succesful in the slots.

Re: If it was your choice...

Asogmugha.Shut down corners are at a premium.McCourty should be much better next year.

Re: If it was your choice...

Calvin easily

Re: If it was your choice...

Adding Nnamdi along with McCourty and Bodden would help the whole defense... More time for the Dline to rush the passer, more defensive stops. Adding Calvin would solidify our offense as the best in the league and would help us destroy opposing Defenses. Calvin is younger but I think Nnamdi has a bigger impact.

Re: If it was your choice...

Megatron. Easy choice. I would love to see him throw revis to the ground as revis tries to jam him.

Re: If it was your choice...

(I might have just voted for Asomugha, if I did I meant CJ)

Megatron, no doubt. We have solid CB's with McCourty and Bodden returning and plenty of competition for #3 and #4. CJ, would be exactly what this offense needs. We could run basically the same offense but have a big bodied WR who is a deep threat and isn't afraid to go across the middle as an added weapon.

Re: If it was your choice...

Calvin in a heart beat

Re: If it was your choice...

I wonder what exactly Lions would want for Megatron? 17th pick?

Re: If it was your choice...

Calvin and its not even close. You can throw away from Nnamdi, I honestly think the only way to take CJ out of the game is with 3 men, he's easily one of the top 2 wr in the game today with the other being Andre.

Re: If it was your choice...

Why does everyone call him Megatron?

I mean... I know who Megatron is but..... I don't get it

True, but Nnamdi is probably the top corner in the NFL. We had the number 1 scoring offense, I think defense is a bigger issue.

CB isn't where we need to improve on defense though

Johnson, without a doubt.

Re: If it was your choice...

I think defense is a bigger issue.

I keep thinking about the DET/NYJ game this year. Johnson had 1 catch for 13 yards. Woop-de do. A good amount of that is on the QB. But another part of it is that Revis had something to do with it. with that said, with megatron, would the Pats have beaten NYJ? Don't know. With Nnamdi, do they win? I don't know the answer to that one either.

As great of a talent megatron is, I'd take the shutdown CB over the WR, but not by much.

Like others, I feel defense is a greater need and I'll take all the good ones that I can get.

Mostly because of his size. I went to Tech and saw him play. Guy is beastly. Opposing DBs quiver in fear and don't know what to do.

People say on a shut down corner you can close that half of the field, well with Calvin it was insane. I mean he made freaking Reggie Ball look good. Calvin would run and have most of the DBs running behind him even if ball wasn't going to him.

Re: If it was your choice...

Having 2 shutdown corners helps everyone else on the defense and would cause a opposing teams to struggle designing a game plan to stop it. Our offense is already great and that's why I think this is an interesting question. Calvin is the sexier pick but Nnamdi may have a bigger impact.
