Yup, I've seen it too. Although again, I don't know that it's sound to extrapolate based on one thread by a single (if decidedly moronic) poster. No reasonable person roots for injuries.

Did you read the replies btw? There are 3 pages of them, and only two of them make any mention of "breaking legs"--and those two mention it only to say the opposite, that they want to win big but don't want any serious injuries. (The thread is about "how bad do you want to beat the Pats", and the OP lumps the "winning big" poll option in with "breaking legs"...I think any votes for that option are for the former, not the latter.)

That kind of thread would never stay on this website for more than a few minutes.

The website admin should be ashamed. He/she can take it down anytime. Leaving it up this long is a conscious decision and is just ugly. Everyone defines him/herself by their actions.

It's not just a "one poster" situation.

Assuming this is true--that by not taking the thread down, the mods at that site implicitly are rooting for Brady's legs to be broken (and are not merely hands off, lazy, strapped for time, etc)--we're then talking, what, about a 4 or 5 poster situation?

My point was not that you can't find examples of classless fans or classless posts if you search the internet for them. We have hundreds of thousands (maybe millions?) of fans nationwide, so I'm 100% positive we have some knuckleheads sprinkled in. That's just the law of averages.

I just don't think this makes us particularly unique. You can go ANY team forum and find knuckleheads posting nonsense. But it's a major leap IMHO to conclude that therefore the entire fan base is a bunch of classless idiots who are all rooting for serious injuries to the other team...

I liked your own mod's post a couple of posts up btw, I think that about sums it up.

Just my $.02 --lillloyd

very bizarre, I asked this question before and it got erased I guess.

Their center, pouncey, went out in the last game. Is he out for this one too? Or is it a one time thing?

All these injuries makes it so I can't wait for an 18 game season! The Super Bowl will be played by guys on the practice squads...

Or the teams with the deepest roster, replacing injuries is part of the game. The best teams find ways to overcome them.

Pouncey will play, he just had a deep bruise. He's practiced with the team.

Kemo (LG) is looking increasingly doubtful, and of course Starks (LT) is out.
