Anyone else happy Moss Didn't go back to Pats?

Is it fair to maybe speculate that Moss may be taking certain things that are making him angry? People who fly off he handle quickly sometimes have substance reasons. Not accusing but I think it's possibly a fair question because his behavior is definitely not normal and has not been since training camp.

for his sake I hope he makes it through the season without leaving a real ugly lasting memory that would impair his HOF persona.

Nah, I think his life circumstances have made him into an incredibly insecure immature "grown up" who can't help stop himself from blurting out his feelings or acting out on his emotions, even when he does it at the most inopportune moments, hurting mostly himself. Let's see if Jeff Fisher can get him to control himself. He did pretty well here for 3 years, until he didn't know where he was going next year, and he fell apart.

Done what? What did he do thats so outrageous?

His episodes of rage and anger contrasted to periods of tranquility / peace.

That strange rant at the beginning of the year.

The strange rant after the Viking game.

Just kind of not the norm ... guy is melting down naturally or ???

I'm just saying you can't dismiss it.

He's a smart man ... very smart.
How does he go from happy to be a Viking to rage at being a Viking?
He had to know all about Chili ... he's too smart not to have known.
So he likes the guy ... likes the team then hates the guy and hates the team in 4 weeks?

You need to catch up ...

No I don't. You need to stop believing all the rubbish that the mediots feed you.
The only thing I've heard is that he went off a bit about the food being served in the locker room.

Screw that guy. We have Mankins back now. O-line will be even better. The pats will be 7-1 after this week and looking great for a top 2 seed if they go 2/3 vs. the steelers, colts, and jets.

I'm loving this. No distractions from here on out.

Almost Sunday!
Quite happy, this lurker. I see that we can win without Randall Moss, Offensive line notwithstanding (completely different and completely unrelated).
Logan Mankins provides quality depth. Period. He's no hero to this line (sorry, uncle Logan).

Who says he isn't coming back? He is is a UFA at the end of 2010, he wants to be here, and I think BB would gladly take him back under the amount of money that he offered and Moss rejected. Which Moss regretted doing, obviously.

Haven't read or heard it anywhere ... don't watch or read mediots but good try.

The guy is a bit unstable right now ... we'll see how it goes won't we.

Randy has already been jettisoned from two organizations this season for behavioral problems / disputes. And we're only half way through. How can some of you not recognize that as a problem? I love the guy as much as anyone, but his mere presence is leaving a wake of destruction wherever he goes.

The Patriots got rid of him mainly because he was being phased out of the offense. Why would they bring him back next year?

According to the coaches and players who actually spoke about it, there was no problem in New England with Randy Moss. The media started their usual rubbish because they get nothing from the Patriots. Belichick responded by going out of his way to assure everybody that there was no problem and that all the rumours were untrue. Moss came back to play the Patriots last Sunday and it was clear from his demeanour and that of the Krafts and everybody else he met that there was no problem.

So that clears up New England. All that we have heard since then is about some incident in the locker room where he wasn't happy with the food and made it known in a not so nice fashion. We don't know if anything else happened there at all. It might be a case of an under fire coach doing something to make it look like its not his fault that the team is not succeeding. Nothing else has been reported.

So please stop with your crap about behavioural problems/disputes on two teams. Even during the game last Sunday the commentator suggested that Moss wasn't behind the trade to Minnesota but felt something was going on which suggests that it was a simple business decision made by the Patriots to cash in as they were moving in a different direction and didn't need Moss anymore.

the Moss hate here is ridiculous. Same goes for the Mankins hate, its like the fans are never grateful for what they have done and treat them like objects.

Agreed, and don't forget all the sourpusses that hated seeing Deion Branch come back.

Hahahaha, you're going off what the coaches say? If a player with a BAC of .20 drove a truck full of cocaine and hookers into a school bus of children and killed them all Belichick would have nothing but good things to say about him. But no, you're right. The Patriots / Vikings got rid of a HOF receiver for peanuts and then no peanuts because they didn't feel like ignoring "made up" media stories. Infact, the whole thing is a giant joke - Moss gave those bipolar media rants for fun.

The only thing clear from Moss' demeanor is he has some serious mental issues. Which is sad, and I hope he's able to work things out.

Also could you be anymore hypocritical? You call the bad media stories rubbish yet you gulp crap up from commentators and media interviews with coaches and players (even after you state the Patriots give them nothing).

I made my mind up that things were how the Patriots said they were after Randy Moss met with, smiled with and treated his former employers and co-workers very well before last Sunday's game. A picture as they say tells a thousand words.

But of course thats not Randy Moss as the media would have you believe, he would have been ranting and raving at them or at least looking at them with a scowl.

Denial is not a river.
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but actions speak louder than both.
The Patriots traded away the guy who used to be the center piece of their offense for a medicore draft choice. Are you suggesting his skills have evaporated or are you under this illusion that BB felt bad that Randy had to be in a contract year, so he ignored what was best for the team and let him go somewhere that he could try to get an extension?
The Vikings not only gave him away for nothing, they were wiling to risk having to pay him to play for someone else, maybe even against them.
Yet you conclude there were no issues.
Of the other 30 teams only 1 wanted him for free.
One of 3 things has happened here.
Either Moss' skills diminished overnight. His production is at the level of a 2nd string WR this year.
Or Moss refused to give effort on the field.
Or Moss was such a disruption, disrtraction and awful teammate that 2 teams felt he offered addition by subtraction even though he was still the best deep threat in the league.
What didnt happen is Randy is a great guy who gave 100% and still has all of his abiity, because no team would dump him so unceremoniously and every team would jump at a waiver claim if that were correct.

When has BB or a Patriot player ever told us what is really going on? I think someone is being naive...

Would been happy if he was with the rams or redskins, but Titans are the best afc team to get him.. Vince young will not get him the ball.. Hopefully they can beat the colts at least once... if we face them then its in the playoffs... if they make it... but im happy where our team is going..

Call me crazy but I didn't see it happening in the first place

The New England Patriots did not place a waiver claim for Randy Moss. That, in itself, speaks volumes.
