Our new RB is a shrimp

Woodhead sucks. Although I would not be surprised if he plays better on the Patriots. He seems like a better fit for the spread offense.

The only downside from his size that I can see might be when he's supposed to block a 280 pound defender. Otherwise, if he runs low to the ground and is real quick, he'd be tough to bring down.

Well since he weighs the same as Faulk, I think that his size won't be the issue with his blocking. The bigger issue is whether he has Kevin's blocking skills and ability to pick up blitzes and recognize situations.

As others have mentioned, Sproles and Drew are about that size (in fact Sproles is 20 lbs. lighter). Both have been third down backs.

He can scoot between the d linemans legs

Imagine him emerging from between Vollmer or Gronk's legs? They'd never see him coming.

Woodhead had an outstanding career at Chadron State. It was Division 3, but he dominated. Mack Herron was pretty small and he played well for the Patriots.

Not to be pedantic but sucked is the appropriate word. He is no longer a JET.

Thankfully I was traveling and away from the net and Patsfans after Sunday's debacle.

Great picture - I love the guy already.

Having said that I agree with the above. Remember when Ray Lewis blitzed in the first playoff game last year and he blew up Maroney as Maroney tried to block him. Is this guy going to block a linebacker, or even someone like Chung, on a blitz?

Look at the large TE Gronkowski behind him in the pic. He isn't a shrimp because if he's a shrimp, Kevin Faulk is a shrimp.

I think hes cute. I want one.

Ray Lewis is coming at Brady. Woodhead is the protector. Woodhead completes the block and Brady has time to throw. Lewis is diverted and doesn't reach Brady.

If you believe this fantasy, some friends have land in Florida that you might want to buy as an investment.

Q: How tall are you?

A: 5-71?2, it’s somewhere in there. I’ve been measured at 5-7 3?4. That quarter inch can really help you. Shoot, you can call me 5-5 if you want. My height’s not something I’m really concerned with.
Q: Can you be the Jets’ Wes Welker?

A: Wes Welker’s unbelievable. If I ever had a chance to keep doing slot stuff, I’d be more than willing to do that.

Q: Is that why you picked his No. 83?

A: I had a choice between 83, one high 80s number, and two high teens numbers. I went by the process of elimination — I thought the other numbers wouldn’t look very good on me.

Now maybe its believable.

he has speed 4.33 40 speed but supposedly it's stright line speed. The word is he doesn't have the burst or lateral quickness one would expect.

I think if he works hard they will find a role for him. It does not appear he is a better athlete than Welker or even Edelman.

Well obviously he isn't a better athlete than Wes Welker or Edelman. I wish he was because then we would have an incredible addition.

Hmm... he's almost small enough to be a CB on our team.

He'll be just fine. His advantage is that a lot of the larger-sized D-line can't bend over enough to grab him, and if they try and square up on him, he'll hit them square in the b@lls.

I think he's gonna be fun to watch play.
