The Jets suck (merged)

Geez, I wish Wrecks would move so I could see the damn field on my wide-screen TV. Maybe if he turned sideways ... nah.

Can anyone think of a single good reason for the Jets' starters to play into the second half? Why would Ryan do that? Seems like he's pretty much asking for an injury.

The new stadium has been christened! The New York football Giants get the first score and the first win! The Giants are kings of New York! :rocker: Was there ever any question?

Update: Apparently, Woody Johnson called Tannenbaum and Wrecks into his office immediately after the game and ripped them a new one. Said he was "embarrassed" by the effort, especially considering the team's halftime ring-of-honor ceremony and his own face time on national television.

This might be a loss from which the Green Beans never recover. A terrible, devastating event to be sure.

there are a whole bunch of tight sphincters clenched in grunting fury down there in the Jersey swamp...we tried to tell them...

but would they listen?

no...they wouldn't

and did you see that unbelievable camera whore,La Done-and-buried mugging for the ESPN camera and hogging the spotlight in the 4th quarter...he had 8 carries for 17 yards!!!...and now he's the chief interview?

Only one team in sports history could screw the pooch like these Rats did tonight...If it were fans of any other team in the NFL, I'd actually feel compassion for them...but THESE delusional green morons deserve everything they're gonna get.

Did anyone see that shot of The Angry Fire Elf fighting a Giants fan for access to his cheering perch? That was classic.

I remember the tough times fro the Pats and all the long years of laughing stock status, so I can sympathize with the victory starved J-E-T-S fans.

But they are the most obnoxious, overbearing, and hopeless provincial losers, who gloat at even ephemeral improvement. By a fluke of scheduling, and coaching decision, they were able to produce a barely winning record and the then they go overboard and trumpet their Super Bowl favorite and Best Team Ever, refrain.

Too bad the dream ended on the first game ever at the dismal swamp, and a not so meaningless D-E-F-E-A-T, against their crosstown and co-tenant rivals. Perhaps the only team they detest more than the hated "Chowds".

J-E-T-S s-u-c-k !!!

The only reason you keep the team out there that long is because the team plays poorly as a punishment (see what Belichick did to the team vs. Cincy in 2003). But to go into the game with the plan to play the half with the firsts is stupid especially when your opponent pulls their starters. Seriously, did Sanchez really gain a lot picking apart a bunch of scrub secondary players when the Giants pulled their starting defense?

I believe both of the Giants' starting corners sat the game out resting training camp injuries, as did some of their starters on offense (O-line and tight end). The Green Beans should've scored much more in the first half.

Only one sat out (Cory Webster). Other starters who sat out the game though were Kenny Phillips (SS), Keith Bullock (MLB), Chris Snee (G), Kevin Boss (TE) along with his back up, and Steve Smith (WR). So there were six Giants starters out of the game and didn't even dress.

Smells like Woody is stoking the fire under the hot seat...anyone bring marshmallows?

Unless I am mistaken...even when the Patriots were up and down mediocre to below average they were most times still better than the Jesters...as bad as the Patriots were, they were still mostly better than the Jets.

The Jets just left in the starters to get ready for the season.
They need to be able to beat backups to make the playoffs.

I laugh at the irony of this thread all the time. I just noticed the two threads with the most views on this site are about the Jets. And this is a Patriots forum? Someones paying attention. I guess we're like the 400lbs of fat around Rex Ryans belly. You can talk about getting rid of us all day long but we still keep getting bigger

JETs players, coaches and fans are like the totally annoying mosquito that buzzes around and never goes away. You swat it (watch yet another inevitable JETs disaster occur) and Lo! another rises up soon to take its place exhibiting no memory whatsoever of the prior debacle.

SOJ!!!

Here's a clue for the obviously clueless...
Were the JETS HC, owner, fans and players as quietly professional as the (ugh) Phins, there would be no such thread.

42 years since you've been relevant.

EMBARRASSING.

For once this Green Bean loser posts something we all can agree with.:rocker:

We enjoy how much it gets under you guys' skin, and we don't have much else to talk about in the offseason. Believe it or not, the Pats don't exactly offer up a ton of info.
