The Jets suck (merged)

You don't get it do you? Sox were there in the championship series in three separate deciding games, Jets weren't in any Super Bowl let alone as close to winning as the Red Sox were in those three series.

Bad comparison. Really bad when you don't even know the history behind them. Terrible that they differ because unlike the Jets who couldn't get past their own funk into the Super Bowl the Red Sox have been in the World Series itself!

Nope your rite I don't get it, not much of a baseball fan or Red Sox historian.

Just thought I would throw it out and see if it stuck.

It's kinda like a disease, you catch a fever and it never quite goes away.

Some of you Bo Sox fans should be able to relate,, maybe?

The difference, I think, is that at least Sox had the good sense to have a little bit of fatalistic humility along with their optimism. I went into every year hoping for the best, and sincerely believing that anything was possible, but being a ****y d-bag about it never would have entered into my mind. If, for example, I'd tried to talk smack to my Yankee fan friends, prior to 2004, they would rightly just laugh me off and that was that. Of course, that never really happened, because unlike Jets fans I knew that talking a bunch of crap on behalf of a team that couldn't win... makes no sense.

That's an obvious fact. You're taking the best corner in the league out of your defense, but by no means does that mean we're not going to still get it done.

Thanks for running your big mouth, Rex!

In a nutshell the feeling was "hope for the best, expect the worst" every year from the team...

Why are we talking about baseball?

The jets suck.

No, I don't. You're making a false claim and/or using the wrong word (bias) to get some notion of yours across. I don't get your point at all.

yes,you do and there is no false claim or wrong word.you are biased in your opinion.dont be an zz

I had a feeling the "new poster" was a Jets fan.

of course i am a jets fan.but lets get this stright right now,i am NOT a pats hater.or any team for that matter.ok.maybe the dolphins but its not a strong hate

In any sport, at any level, when you win a game on the strength of one of the best in the business choking for the other team, or because of opponents screwing up basic plays, you got lucky. It has nothing to do with it being the Jets. The Patriots got lucky in week 1 when the Bills return man took the ball out of the endzone and then fumbled when he got hit. That wasn't divisional rival bias, either.

that is the game of football.the hit caused the fumble, which was not lucky,it is part of football.when a pro player runs full spead and hits a ball carrier, sometimes the ball comes out

The player shouldn't have taken the ball out of the endzone. He brainlocked.

However, it's interesting to note that you're now after me about a play regarding the Patriots that I called lucky, and off the "divisional rival bias" kick. I guess that's progress, and I'll just leave this part of the discussion at that.

i am not after you in any way, shape,or form.this issue started with the fact that "lucky"is debateable.you said it is not.i beleive it is

The jets suck.

Why? Our beloved Jets fan(as opposed to our troll Jets fans) made a bad comparison to our beloved baseball team...it didn't work out too well for him.

You know your team sucks when you need to try to seek out similar suckage...the odd thing is he went for Boston when the Chicago Cubs has broken the record for longest time between winning championships- 102 years and counting! But then again unlike the Jets they have been within inches of winning a title while the Jets haven't gone to the Super Bowl since '69...so again the Jets truly suck!
