NEW ENGLAND - Draft choices signed: LB Jermaine Cunningham (2/53); TE Rob Gronkowski (2/42). Declared non-football injuries: WR Darnell Jenkins; CB Terrence Johnson. Declared physically unable to perform: LB Shawn Crable; WR Wes Welker (knee); DT Kade Weston.

Guess they are playing it safe with Welker.

Just wow, on Crable. I mean, really?? Henceforth, the phrase "made of glass" shall be used only when referring to Shawn Crable. Anyone else can be said to be "made of Crable".

How can Crable be inactive???? WTF!!! Does it take 3 years for a leg to heal? I have high hopes for him, but if he doesn't make it off the injured list than F him, dead weight needs to be cut!

Does the players association get pissed if you cut an injured player or something? Why is he even being placed on PUP? Why not just cut him?

No, players on Active/PUP or Active/NFI can be activated at any time.

If said player is Crable, it's about 35 1/2 months now.

This is truly disappointing, re: Crable. However, I wonder if it is just that he didn't yet pass the conditioning test. At least we can hope.
