My guess is number two -- he sounds like a young guy who's giving it a go, but not someone with much of a track record. (But this is the team that once carried two punters on its Practice Squad -- who knows what they will do?)

That's true, but he can't really be serious about that in the sixth and seventh rounds (as Guyton put it, "Why'd you draft Bo Ruud?").

He will push and compete hard against any draft pick free agent that Bill brings in.

brilliant move, because he will do anything necessary and does not have any sense of "entitlement" as a drafted punter will have.


To me this indicates 100% certainty the PATS will draft a punter this week.
