Mock draft game discussion thread

Texans are approaching the 10am deadline. The GM likes to post at the last minute so who knows but if patriotscpfc is around I don't want to keep them waiting.

So far Houston has selected:
Ryan Matthews RB
Kareem Jackson CB

At DT they could take Torrell Troup, DT, Central Florida, who can play as the NT alongside Amobi Okoye.
At safety they could take Major Wright, FS, Florida.

Alternatively there's Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Indiana (PA) or Dominique Franks, Oklahoma. Both are CBs. The former played D-II to an extremely high level, the latter played in a top division but never did much special.

I'd pick Owusu-Ansah but any vote on this needs other people. I'd hold off on any more deadlines though and see how much everyone wants to carry on.

AOA is awesome. I honestly think he's a top five corner in this draft, with the ability to play either FS or CB. He'd be great in their scheme. Furthermore, PIT is really hurting in their secondary, and used their first on a value/luxury RB. They also resigned Larry Foote in the offseason, so ILB is less of a pressing concern than corner, in my opinion.

Also: we need to be patient with GMs, not just reassign teams and steamroll forward. It's just not fair to people who have lives outside of this message-board microcosm. Let's give them a chance to post, and vote in their absence, but let's not subsume their responsibilities.

Well if the GM's who's draft pick's have been recently voted for decide to show up and the prospect they really wanted is still available then they are free to post their selection. For the time being I'm giving Akwasi Owusu-Ansah to the Steelers so we can move along.

The deadline's for each selection were posted days in advance so you know when your pick comes due. If you are unsure at all of your availability at that time then you should PM someone else preferably broadwayjoe or myself your top choices. These were the simple rules to follow from the beginning. If we abandon that now than everybody that was following them suffers.
