The falcons took Mike Iupati. They had an rushing unit that went from 2nd in nfl to 15th last year mainly due to the fact they lacked depth at the OL. They lost Harvey Dahl to injury and they couldn't get their swagger back.

thankfully they signed Dunta Robinson so i didn't have to reach for a CB, and considering they took defense with their first 5 picks last year it's time to take someone who can contribute to the offense.

A Guard 19th overall. What's the highest a Guard has been taken? Modern format.

The highest I can think of is Steve Hutchinson at #17 in 2001.

How long is it per pick? 2 hours?

I'd rather not, I'm waiting to make my pick, but the guy currently on the clock has had 3 and a half hours.

It's vote time according to the rules.

Well no we're still going by the deadline which I believe is 4pm(3 hrs left).

If you know your pick is coming shortly, but you might not be here in the time slot given then simply PM someone else that you trust will be here. I'm here during the weekday morning thru late afternoon hours and I believe broadwayjoe is around in the evenings.

So it's not a rigid two hours then?

no this way you know in advance when your pick is due in by. If someone were to post a selection at 3am for example, we couldn't say well the next GM needs to get his/her pick in by 5am. That wouldn't seem fair.

btw I just sent out a PM to remind billdog3484 they were due up next.

It took me 13 hours to make my pick so I would rather stick to the deadline

We're exactly one month from the day of the real thing so there's no rush at the moment.

In that same draft Leonard Davis was taken #2. I think Iupati is versatile though in the fact he could also play OT. He is still somewhat raw so the team who takes him can really utilize him well into whatever position they need him for. Because of that his value is a bit higher then the average OG.

Davis was taken as an OT though.

In about an hour from now we can start discussing options for the Texans at #20.

billdog, nice pick with Ryan Matthews for the texans. Best may be ranked #2 on almost every board, but I find him overrated. Matthews is the best all-around RB, and could carry an NFL load.

As for my chargers pick, damn..

I have to question the pick of Matthews when the Texans have a bunch of nobodies at CB with the loss of Dunta Robinson.
