more interesting was rex ryan's responseto why he didnt use his 2timeouts. he says he thought the wouldnt score . From their 16 yard line ....
iam hoping these kind of gaffes expose the HC material.

I'll tell ya why.....he's a young and goofy head coach, and he was so busy cheering on his minions that he was totally blank about the TOs.......
His own men were probably saying WTXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!
That and my second guess..............

He was looking for the Twinkie with the most filling at the snack table...

"I'm going to be honest, I can't respect that stuff. All that Wildcat. Because we're in the NFL, man. If you're out there running that nonsense, it's crap. They got us today but we'll see them again and we'll have something for them. I guess you have to give them credit but the defense lost the game."

Boo-hoo.

Someone tell Walsh that his West Coast Offense is crap and anyone that is running it are just promoting nonsense.

After that get a hold of **** LaBeau and tell him the Zone Blitz in stupid and nonsence.

After that get ahold of Paul Brown and tell him that you DO IN FACT have to run your entire offense out of the I and if you are not it's nonsense.

Thanks.

I'm not sure why Pace is peeved .... have the Jets not already won the superbowl?

Apparently boy genius Wrecks Ryan didn't prepare his team for the Wildcat or Cal was too preoccupied by his own drool during that meeting to really understand what was going on.

If your HC was as good as he thinks you should have had it there and then, on gameday. Everyman and his dog knows about Miami and the wildcat formation.

The funny part is that he acts as if it isn't a 'manly way' to beat them when the Dolphins simply beat the crap out of them.
Flea flickers, reverses, fake punts, fumblerooskis, etc, etc could almost get you some sympathy for those kind of comments, but Pace and his buddies got PHYSICALLY MANHANDLED.
I love how they want to convince everyone they are tough guys then when a team comes in and play smash mouth they turn into crybabies.

How did the defensive "genius" not have his team ready for the wildcat? That's so laughable, he had to of known they would do it. His defense was out of place every time. Fat idiot

Thay are weigh to smaht fore Dat........

That explanation is gold. I'm sure it has nothing to do Rex Ryan being well on his way to being the perfect example of the Peter Principle--getting promoted to your level of imcompetence. Some of the things that made him a great coordinator (overt emotion, near-irrational confidence in his players) work against him in his role as head coach.

Miami caught the Pats completely flat-footed with the Wildcat last year. The outcome of that game played a large role in who went to the playoffs and who stayed home. You can bet the Pats aren't belittling it.

The Jets might suffer the same fate as New England did in '08 thanks to that "garbage" loss.

Regards,
Chris

Yeah, but the point is, that the Fins unveiled it with the Patriots last year. Every team since that game has (or should have) prepared for it. In fact, it seems like more than half of the teams run their own version of it.

Calvin Pace is a moron.

That said, I ain't gonna lie.... I said that same thing last year when they beat us with that HS mickey mouse league crap too. The L was an L though, and they're gonna have to accept it like we did.

I know Belichick won't run the wildcat with Brady in there.
But he might want to consider an old fashioned 3 RB backfield ... that would be fun.

Faulk Half Back, Morris Full Back, Maroney Tail Back.

Well said.

He is a moron.

But he also is right; that offense is HS Mickey Mouse crap; the fact that it works a year out is amazing to me, you'd thing defensive coordinators would come up with a plan to stop it.....................

It works because the essence of many NFL teams in this era is conformity. Don't install a new defense because if you lose 4 games in a row, you get fired. Better to go down in flames with something the owner recognizes as something every other team is doing, just better than you do.

I love quotes like Pace's because it shows a certain losing mindset I enjoy seeing in opponents. "We were built to stop Plan A. If Plan B is murdering us, we still prepare for Plan A. Because that was what we trained for, we have all these nice weapons . . . "

Years ago, Dallas Cowboy DE Haley had similar remarks when Steve Young kept bootlegging past him. Just a riot; Young had like 100+ yards and 2 TDs in 2 games; Haley's only response was to call him a ****.

Am I imagining things, or did the Jets run the Wildcat (or "Seminole") against us this year?

Once again, Channing Crowder wins the war of words with the Jets. Here is his response to Pace:

"They nonsensed their ass all the way up and down the field," linebacker Channing Crowder responded today. "Nonsense, I love nonsense. They say gimmick, gimmick this, gimmick that. We've won games with the Wildcat. They ran two fake punts. So if you're going to say gimmicks, those are real gimmicks. Wildcat is an offensive formation, they run it for two years. They have thousands of plays on film about it, go stop it.

Miami Dolphins In Depth

I hate the Jets even more now because they are making me like that idiot Crowder, at least when it comes to the Jets.

Oh don't worry, you'll start hating him again in a couple of weeks. The only games he even gets up for are vs. the Pats and Jets. So rest assured he will be on all of our hated lists again.
