Is favre a better QB than Trent dilfer was in 2000 while minn's D isn't that good I put them in the top 5 in the league. In 2000 Baltimore celebrated their first championship In quite some time, that had a very good RB and a dominant Defense not a great receiving Corp either these situations seem very similar how about the 2002 bucs..........

I'm just sayin stranger things have happened

Baltimore's defense in 2000 was historically good. Like NE's offense in 2007 good.

Minny wont be that good. And Dilfer didn't throw 20 picks like Favre will.

That's because they are discussing it in their NFL forum. Half the topics on the first page are about Favre.

lol, yeah you're right. poor packers fans. he who was their number 1 star for years is now a traitor and nfl circus act.

I am tired of Brett Favre but there is a good side to this, IMO.

The longer he gets consecutive starts, the more impossible it will be for Manning to break the record.

Brady is out of the contention for consecutive starts so what the heck. Go Brett.

Wow... now suddenly the $20 I paid for four lower level seats worth $104 each really seems like a steal for this Friday's game against the Chiefs.

Is Bernard Pollard playing????????

Pretty much. They may have a good/great regular season but even then look at Favre's postseason performances post-'98. Does anybody really think he can play mistake free for 3-4 straight weeks against top competition? There is zero chance Minnesota goes all the way with Favre.

I broke into hysterical maniacal laughter when I saw the headline on bspn. This has surpassed old. This silly will he or won't he story is now prehistoric. I don't believe it's the end though I fervently pray it is.

If I were Jackson and Rosenfels, I'd go in and demand to be traded.. They clearly were being lied to by Childress the entire time.

Stunning that one of Favre's main PR employees is saying bad things about this.

Minnesota Vikings are making mistake with Brett Favre - Peter King - SI.com

Sounds like Peter more than anything feels misled by his good pal's comments to him last month.

King is like a jilted girlfriend who is constantly lied to by her girlfriend. Favre told him last year personally that he wasn't coming back and King believed him. Favre told him again last month and he bought it again. King is gullible when it comes to Favre.

I read somewhere that the Vikes' passing offence is the most basic in the NFL and is way below the required standards of complexity. I'm not quite sure how a gunslinger at the end of his career is going to resolve that.

I agree with King. Minnesota better hope Farve makes it through the season.

I feel bad for King (in this instance). Favre has been using him for the last few years with his indecision game, keeping his name out there and what not. And now he didn't give Peter anything when he makes the big comeback.

If I was on the Packers and Brett was a former teammate of mine, I'd be looking to punish him hard every time we played..

Favre walked out on the last year.. He was offered a 12 million a year salary to be a friggin ambassador for the team to the fans.. And he turned it down.. He's such a loser.

And yes, Favre is a loser. He's not won anything since the 1996 SB... And he was directly responsible for the Packers play-off runs ending each of the last few times..

One other point: if you want to make the Super Bowl, you have to play at least 19 games, maybe even 20.

It's not even a given Favre can make it through 16.

Mark schlareth is absolutly sick about favre getting signed! Lmao its comical that he hates favre so much

My post clearly says that minn's D won't be as good as the ravens, but neways my point was that with a good team a manager of the game can be a SB QB. They have the league's best RB and one of if not the best O-line in football. They will win the NFC north easily, just like my man Cris carter said are the other D-coordinators happy that favre will be running out there instead of sage of tavaris Jackson..........

The answer is hell no
