Here's a mock I know you will Love

I'd rather use one of our 2nds and trade up for Sergio Kindle from Texas. He has length (6'4"), speed (4.50 range 40 and nice agility) and is a terrific prospect. I liked him much better than Brian Orapko last year. Then add Leonard Marsh from Florida (6'5" 305#, incredibly athletic) or Arthur Jones from Syracuse (6'4", 295#) at DE in the 2nd round.

I'm moving up to get Brandon Spikes in this draft.

You guys missed the point.

Did you see where we drafted at?

Thanks for posting my ENTIRE ARTICLE here on the message board...

I'll quit beating around the bush... can you either excerpt that by editing or post a link please? It kills search engine rankings to have duplicate content.

And where else would anyone have the Pats picking??

On my local radio coverage they had ex NFL QB Brock Huard (Wasn't he a Patriot?? )that said that he has heard several front office types say "Stay away from Texas players, they have downgraded them alot beacuase they are spoiled, they have everything at Texas, and when they get to an NFL team with less than perfect facilities, they become whiners, have a history that they are not "workers".

Just passing on some info,,be interesting to chart a schools production to the NFL

I've never been a Texas fan, but I like two of their players next year - Kindle at OLB and Adam Ulatowski at OT. Ulatowski is 6'8" and very versatile and athletic (I think he was another former TE), having played OG as well as OT. He would be a nice complement to 6'8" Sebastian Vollmer.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Chung pick this year but if I could have any safety to play with meriweather I would love to have eric berry from tennessee. That guy is a BEAST. I agree with us trading up for kindle.

I would probably take Berry (On April 28, 2009) as the best player available, and then worry about getting he, Chung, and Meriweather on the field later. He's that good. I like Kindle very much. Hardy, as mentioned in another thread, might be a prototypical OLB. And my favorite DE prospect in the last three years, Vince Oghobaase. I don't think Julio Jones is eligible next year, but if he is I'd try to get him. Unless he goes #1 overall. Which he probably will. Best WR prospect since Calvin Johnson.

I think they will be looking for another DE next year, and there are going to be a few available. ILB has just become a much lower priority after drafting McKenzie.

I'm not ready to annoint McKenzie as a starter yet. There's a decent chance he'll never be more than a backup/special teams star....the new Eric Alexander.

Jones is a true sophomore this year, I believe, so he won't be eligible until 2011.

Oghobasse has great size at 6'6" 310#. I haven't seen enough of him to see if he is a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT. The guy who really intrigues me is Leonard Marsh from Florida, who will be a junior this year. 6'5" 305# and extremely athletic.

There's no doubt Berry is a fabulous player, and possibly the best ballhawk since Ed Reed. I personally like him much more than I like Taylor Mays from USC. I doubt he would be available for us, but you never know.

.

That's what I thought. It's mind-blowing how good he was as a true freshman in the SEC.

Well, that really wasn't my point. But I think there is a reason why MacKenzie is a 3rd rounder, and Alexander was an UDFA. I believe there is a far greater chance of Mackenzie being the starter next to Mayo in 2010 or 2011, than becoming the next Alexander. JMHO

My real point was that, with all the FA's the Pat's have after this season. I think Seymour is going to be the one that walks. Leaving us needing another top DE to take his place.

again JMO

I would agree with that. In fact, I don't think there's much doubt about it. Whether he stays or goes, I think DE is probably #1 priority in next year's draft, as the roster stands now.

Mel Kiper said he thinks Berry will be #1 overall pick when asked about it. At least McShay said Bradford who seems to be the lock for 1st pick unless detroit gets it and then they will probably trade it anyways. I was lmao with a safety as the 1st pick in the draft. I agree that berry will go really high though.

Can we just have any mock draft for 2010 with the NEP trading down

We need to trade up. We want Mount Cody! Yet we have to keep a first so we can grab McClain later on.
