If your going to pay someone it may as well be a DL who you can build your team around. Jackson's a perfect fit there next to Dorsey
I just watched him trash Pioli and KC for taking Jackson over Curry.
I think it just goes to show how little Diaper Jr. knows about the Patriots way.
He is completely out of touch with the concept of drafting the BPA for your scheme as opposed to drafting the BPA.
Can I rip him for taking Jackson over Raji? I don't get that one.

Curry excelled at the college level. Jackson....... didn't. Arguing that Kiper's blown it here is just silly. His job is to evaluate the players as best he can. It's not as if he was wrong in his analysis. Pioli obviously thinks Jackson will be better at the pro level than at the college level, while Kiper and many, many others, aren't sold on that notion.
What's your beef? I think it has something to do with them playing together for a couple years, and they might use Dorsey at the nose.
Curry ias clearly a 4-3 OLB and even Keyhorn could see it.
It doesn't matter that Curry is the best player on Diaper's board. He is not a 3-4 defender.
It's like when the Pats drafted Ken Sims. He was clearly a 4-3 DT and not suited to plat D line in a 3-4.
Bad fits = bad results.
Jackson is clearly the only 3-4 DE available in this draft and that is what made him so valuable to 3-4 teams.
The fact that Diaper Jr. could not see that shows how out of touch he is with understanding how players fit in schemes.

Maybe I'm alone (but I'm willing to learn) in thinking that NT isn't a very skillful position. Not to say that anyone can play it, but the minimum requirements aren't as rare as a 6'4" - 6'6", 280-295 with long arms and the versatility to take on a tackle and engage both the run and pass effectively.
I love having Wilfork because he does his job by holding two O-linemen at bay and also being able to make a big play on occasion. Could he be replaced? Probably easier to replace him than a Richard Seymour, no?
