Still nothing at OLB, which I felt was our biggest need. I like our picks so far though, although I don't think Ron Brace can be fully evaluated until he's out from the shadow of B.J. Raji.

I'm now desperately hoping that we go OLB at #58. Connor Barwin is the best one left.

pats 2nd round drafts have always been a mixed bag. brace might be a great fit or someone like marquise hill (RIP). i guess with as many picks they can afford for making a mistake or two.

Fins just took Pat White. I like that pick for them.

wow pat white to miami..that really is a big lift for their wildcat.

It seems to me like BB knows pretty much exactly what he wants and is willing to spend here. Which implies he feels like he's getting decent players, but not necessarily instant starters.

Brace makes the Wilfork contract talks fascinating.

I love the Ron Brace pick, he's more of a 2 gap player IMO, really a force for BC on their D line, and fits well with the Pats system.

d%#*!@t. I wanted Pat White to go anywhere but Miami.

I'd rather have taken Jarron Gilbert as a replacement for Seymour than Brace as a potential replacement for Wilfork. I really don't want to see Wilfork leaving the Pats and extending him would just be automatic for me, no matter what he wants. That said, Ron Brace looks like a solid player and I never bought into Mike Wright as a credible backup to Vince.

good draft but....

WTF you couldve had maulalalalalaga at #34:mad:

:confused: It's true. Thinking was he'd go top ten to the Redsking IIRC.

Nah, there were a ton of DTs that year. It was POSSIBLE he could have gone higher, but he ended up about where MOST expected. IIRC William Joseph was the big faller at the DT position.

Looks like Miami is committed to the Wildcat.

panthers gave a 1st rounder next yr to get everette brown

how bout some pass rush billy b. Woods n tbc aren't the answers.

Jason Taylor has to be all but signed.

No, it means they gave up more than another team did to get less. Not a big deal, but you can admit it.

Well, technically, yes, they did.

But that's utterly meaningless unless you consider the context of the decision. Not a big deal, but you can admit it.

The draft's getting comedic now. Stintim, the only college 3-4 OLB, gets drafted to play in a 4-3. And all the 3-4 teams draft DE tweeners to play 3-4 OLB.

For the love of christ, give me Barwin or give me a 2010 1st round pick.

EDIT: Barwin gone.

I'm disappointed. I can't understand BB when it comes LBs. Everett Brown and Connor Barwin were there for the taking and he just passes them up. Why did they let go of Vrabel? Has he seen enough of Crable to know this guy is a stud? Some kind of weight conditioning to make his chicken legs thicker?

What good is Butler, Springs and Bodden if you have no pass rush? It makes them average.

Typical BB draft day. Leaves you scratching your head, but in the end he will be right.

Theres goes Clint Sintim and there goes Barwin. F'N Great!!
