I read where someone else from recent Combines actually beat Deion's record, but couldn't tell you who off the top of my head. Those comments on Nelson, especially after he pancaked Maualuga, had me readjusting my thinking too.Doesn't Deion have the combine record at 4.19?

Doesn't Deion have the combine record at 4.19?
Ol' Stanford is a Raider, host to the fastest unknowns inside feetyball.No. Deion was reportedly timed on one stopwatch at 4.28 during one of the New Orleans Superdome Combines (1984 or 1986).
Bo Jackson has the fastest verifiable time of 4.12 back in 1986 -- also at the Superdome.
Last year, Chris Johnson clocked a 4.24, breaking the record of 4.27 held by Stanford Routt (who?) in 2005. His record being the fastest of this decade.
This gives some support to my pet theory - the Lions draft Jason Smith #1 overall, then offer their #20 pick to the Pats for Matt Cassel.
---Clemson's Aaron Kelly. He's 6-5, 193. Said he's hoping to run a 4.4 in the 40.
I asked him which receivers he compares himself to, and he mentioned Plaxico Burress and Randy Moss. "Any of those tall receivers," he added.
Could he see himself lining up on the opposite side of Moss one day?
"Oh, I'd love to," he answered with a huge grin. "I'd sure see a lot of single coverage in that offense."
And Kelly confirmed that he has had some preliminary discussions with the Patriots. Keep an eye on him.

28 reps by James Casey isn't too shabby. I have a feeling his athleticism will definitely turn some heads this week.
Umm, aren't we hoping his athleticism doesn't turn heads?
Love the kid, but he's more of a big WR than a TE.Florida TE Cornelius Ingram said Friday that he hopes to be drafted by the Patriots.
Hoping, yes. I'd love it if he flies under the radar. But I don't think it's going to happen.
Some interesting numbers up for the OLs today at the combine:
- William Beatty measured in at 6'6" 309#, up 18# from the Senior Bowl and the same weight as Michael Oher, Eugene Monroe, Jason Smith and Eben Britton. He had 34 3/4" arms, the 3rd longest of any OT (2nd among elite prospects after Andre Smith at 35 1/4"). And he put up 27 reps in the bench press, less than Jason Smith at 33 but considerably better than Eben Briton at 24, Eugene Monroe at 23 and Michael Oher at 21. He's off to a very good start at the combine, and certainly looks more like a solid LT prospect than a lightweight developmental prospect with good feet. The strength numbers for the other OTs seem rather disappointing, although last year Jeff Otah did 27 reps, Gosder Cherilous 24, and Chris Williams 21.
- Among interior lineman, Trevor Canfield and Karl Urbik put up a respectable 29 reps each in the bench press, and Eric Wood put up 30. Max Unger only managed 22 reps.
I'm not personally too impressed with combine numbers, but its interesting to see. Someone like Beatty, who has a reputation for being a finesse lineman, was able to do fairly well even with long arms compared with a Michael Oher.
