I'm flabbergasted - I fully expected that just days before the game they'd "magnanimously" make it available in the New England viewing area to all - i.e. Cox and Comcast would carry it.
Beyond that if they decided to give Digital Cable households a free weekend preview that would make financial sense because I'd bet they'd get some converts out of it.
Allowing EVERYONE to watch it for free on regular TV seems to undermine the premise of NFLN in the first place - which is to have games that can only be viewed on Digitial Cable for a fee.
It's great I guess - and it would seem they are putting "history" ahead of profit, which is nice - but I'd probably have not gone quite that far were I in charge of the NFLN.
