It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I feel like they were very cautious about sending Gronk down the seam last season, and now they've gotten back on that horse. Gronk is unstoppable on this route, and Brady is a good seam thrower. It's a devastating attack.I've noticed the Patriots have been throwing more intermediate passes lately. Could it be opposing defense related or a trend?
4.2 > 3.7 (last season)This is unintelligible.
Apparently there are some hyper sensitive fans who don't want to discuss what they are wrong about.
By your standard every passing offense in the NFL is primarily a short passing offense. Again, explaining how an average pass length of 4 yards makes you less of a short passing offense than 3.7 might help you understand that.
I was wrong about an assumed stat. I provided other stats that show Brady to be a short-yardage passer. What more do you want? The stats prove it, watching the games makes it obvious. The Patriots run a short passing attack. Do you agree or disagree with that?
4.2 > 3.7 (last season)
Brady throws shorter passes than Rodgers and Ben
It's really quite simple
He barely was hitthe idea of my 38 year old QB throwing 50 times a game worries me
Every "per attempt" stat comes out short since usually a third of said attempts falls incomplete and gains no yardage.Um, no its not.
But tell me what is the difference between a 4.2 yard pass and a 3.7 yard pass? Are they not both short passes?
See you don't even understand your numbers. Those are on completions.Every "per attempt" stat comes out short since usually a third of said attempts falls incomplete and gains no yardage.
He barely was hit
Really? I though AY/Att stood for air yards per attemptSee you don't even understand your numbers. Those are on completions.
If he's getting the ball out in under 2 seconds and not getting touched it's backyard football. His motion is so clean and he's not throwing deep much at all.the idea of my 38 year old QB throwing 50 times a game worries me
Rodgers very much the same as BradyLast season, by length of throw
Brady 582 passes
behind line 81/13.9%
1-10 306/52.6%
11-20 130/22.3%
21-30 32/5.5%
31-40 8/1.4%
41+ 8/1.4%
Rothlisberger 608 passes
behind line 124/20.4%
1-10 249/41.0%
11-20 132/21.7%
21-30 32/5.3%
31-40 18/3.0%
41+ 13/2.1%
What is the difference?
from 11-30 they are identical.
Rothlisberger throws more behind the los, and Brady more from 1-10.
Rothlisberger over an entire season heaved it deep 15 more times, less than 1 a game.
Any one who watches the Steelers would easily account for the fact that an average of once a game would represent the time Rothlisberger escaped a sack and heaved it up.
In other words there is no difference in the passing games with respect to where they intend to throw the ball.
I'm sure the Rodgers numbers will look much the same.
Actually not sure what it means. Its a made up stat.Really? I though AY/Att stood for air yards per attempt
If he's getting the ball out in under 2 seconds and not getting touched it's backyard football. His motion is so clean and he's not throwing deep much at all.
If, however, he suddenly channels his inner Bledsoe and starts heaving it deep and getting dropped half a dozen times every game then I'll be concerned.
Brady has his read before the ball is snapped and most of the time he goes to that first read and has the ball out before the defense even gets close. 50, 60, 70 times a game, doesn't matter to me as long as he remains insanely good at reading the defense and getting the ball out before the defense gets close.
Wow, that actually is pretty close, although those ranges are pretty wide. Brady does throw a lot of 3-4 yard passes (or so it seems to me), so those would get lumped in with 8-9 yard passes.Rodgers very much the same as Brady
520 attempts
behind line 80/15.4%
1-10 252/48.5
11-20 118/22.7
21-30 30/5.8
31-40 13/2.5
41+ 5/1.0
So over the entire season Rodger threw 2 more 31+ passes than Brady. He threw 2 fewer 21-30 and 12 fewer 11-20.
Given him the 80-100 throws he missed due to injury and it is virtually identical.
When would you ever expect a BB team to do the same thing every week?doesn't matter........it's a long season
50 times a game is too much
Come on. Your numbers, which seem shady by the way, indicate at most a half yard difference not the difference between 3 and 8.Wow, that actually is pretty close, although those ranges are pretty wide. Those numbers were the best I could find. Really wanted the average distance that each attempt traveled in the air. Couldn't find it with a quick search.Come on. Your numbers, which seem shady by the way, indicate at most a half yard difference not the difference between 3 and 8.

If he needs to throw 50 he does, if we need to run 50 we do.
