I don't think I'm imagining things........
If the media is bashing a receiver during a week, you can almost guarantee that the receiver in question will receive a zillion passes the coming Sunday. It's like clockwork. It's so predictable these days that it's not funny.
We see it all the time. Welker comes back from the ACL, media is talking about him not being 100% and lots of analysts saying he'll never be the same, and Brady passes to him all day to prove a point, trying to force him 3 TDs.
Then Moss gets bashed all week for his contract talk and how Revis is awesome. Brady then forces balls to Moss against one of the game's best CBs on every single play to try to make a point.
This isn't new. It has happened for a few years now. Some opposing DB makes some ass comments, and Brady throws towards that DB all day. etc etc.
It is all very sweet and buddy-buddy, but it's dangerous football. I doubt I'm the only one who has noticed this tendency.
I suspect I'll be bashed for this post (I love TFB, I really do). I'll be more than happy to predict who will get touches based on the week's news in the future.
