for the "they are running it up!" comments from the media and other fans...Wahh!!! Let the cryfest begin

All is fair game is the 1st half.

You know, I've held one opinion to my death, and it makes perfect sense and I can't imagine anyone who's even just playing Devil's Advocate to argue against.

You can't run up the score in the first half. You physically can not do it, it is impossible to occur.

oh we are definetly going to hear the running up the score whine tomorrow...BB just wont take out starters this year.

up 42-10 here, i have no problem with whats been going on tonight just put in the reserves at this point

Up 42-10 they run it twice and go shotgun 3 wide for most of the drive and go for it on 4th down. How is this not running it up?

Belichick has already explained this...

1) He is not kicking a FG when they are up big
2) He is not going to ask the offense to run a play that he doesn't believe has a good chance of success (1st down or scoring)

If you have an issue with either of these statements, you shouldn't be taken seriously.

You can question leaving Brady in, but aren't you just nitpicking at that point. Brady plays 7 series = just fine. Brady plays 8 series = poor sportsmanship. Belichick doesn't want to pull his QB in the 3rd quarter. Not sure if he has some kind of personal issue with doing that.

Belichick put in the caucasian running backs. You will have to be happy with that.

:) :) :) haha priceless

Florio is already complaining. What a b!tch. :bricks:

Someone in the mainstream media needs to point out how kicking the field goal is running up points, not going for 4th down with a less than 50% chance of success.

Duh...and I for one will enjoy it. Karma...please...they've had so much bad karma over the years such as, oh I don't know, having to win with billions of injuries every year.

Hm, Schlereth said it was all by the book tonight.

It's obvious...we play the starters for 3 quarters. And if we are driving at the end of the 3rd, they finish the drive into the 4th. Thank god we do because if we didn't we would have been out of gas for the Colts game last week.

Honestly, what are they supposed to do when an opposing defense is not stopping Kyle Eckel and Heath Evans? Run backwards?

Keep stomping them, Pats. :rocker:

You know it's deserving when the team's own fans prepare for it.

why is this necessary? just idiotic.

what's wrong with this? isn't caucasian politically correct enough?

Being overly sensitive is idiotic. I am caucasian and took absolutely no offense to that. I actually thought it was kind of funny. It would have been funnier if he said "white" but because certain people are overly sensitive he has to say caucasian. Sheesh.

PATS GO TOO FAR, AGAIN

With a bye during Week Ten and a close game against the Colts before that, it has been three weeks since we've seen the Ferrari among a flock of Fords that is the New England Patriots.

And it's clear to us that coach Bill Belichick still doesn't know, or care, if he laps the field 50 times.

Twice in the third quarter while sporting huge leads, the Patriots kept the field goal unit on the sidelines for a fourth down deep in the Bills' end. On the second occasion, the Pats were up 42-10 on the Buffalo 10 and New England faced fourth and one.

The groan of disapproval from the crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium was barely audible over the comments of NBC's Al Michaels and John Madden, who seemed to see no problem with the maneuver.

We did, and we do. The Patriots are abusing their power, in our view, and they'd better hope that Earl Hickey is wrong about that whole karma thing.

We don't know whether it's karma or fate or just an innate sense of justice and fairness, but we've had a feeling for a couple of weeks now that something will happen to keep the Pats from getting to the Super Bowl or, when they do, someone like Brett Favre will find a way to chop down the beanstalk.

It is idiotic thats what. If one is aware that a topic is sensative, you don't hold a flame next to the dynamite. The statement was idiotic. period.

Another small man in his pulpit squeaking against the Juggernaut. The Patriots clearly let off the gas in the 4th quarter when they were running dive play after dive play with guys like Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel. The Bills were just so pathetic they gave up 1st down after 1st down. And yes, in case you missed it, the Patriots DID use their punter in the 4th quarter even though it was 4th and inches, an easily makeable play the way the Pats had been running roughshod over the Bills DL.
