Dear Pats Fans...September's Game of the Month!

I had no problem with your team celebrating on our home-field immediately following an unexpected play-off victory gift. Nor did I take issue with your player's poor imitation of Merriman's laughable dance during it. The Pats and you guys earned and deserved to do both.

Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately depending upon one's perspective, LT, who correctly apologized to Bill B. for his post-game remarks, and the rest of the Bolts, just about all of whom have returned for this season, did take great exception with both and do remember the battery we self-imposed with clarity.

While it remains to be seen whether or not learning from that sad experience will prove to be of benefit in the play-offs this season, rest assured that day will result in the Bolts singular most intense focus and complete play during the regular season come September's Game of the Month.

During it, look for the Bolts to play with the unemotional precision of the Terminator seeking only the satisfaction of walking off your home-field in complete victory and in total silence after it while looking forward to playing your great team again when it really really counts in this season's play-offs.

Methinks the Patsies start 0-2. Close loss at the Jets, Brady fails in a last minute drive to win. Bolts come in to Foxboro the following week and run roughshod over the "historic" Patriot defense. Moss and Stallworth are virtual no shows, and Maroney gets planted in the backfield, misses the following week, as special equipment has to be built to remove him from the new turf.

I agree theres a good chance they lose to the Chargers - but to the Jets? Puhhlease.

That's what I thought last season, yet they lost. I think opening at Jets is the best game Jets could hope for, NE early and at home. Poorly played opener by NE.

Re: Dear Pats Fans........September's Game of the Month!

I hope you guys cut marlon macree. Had he knocked down that pass instead of catching it and trying to run, you guys would have hosted and probably beaten the Colts, and the Bears would have posed you no problems at all.
You could also say that had Marty Schottenheimer not wasted a timeout by challenging the ruling on the field that McCree had fumbled (when it was obvious from the TV replays that he had) that the Chargers might have not run out of time at the end and could have won the game. And they did "cut" Marty.

You should worry about the embarrassment when the Saints come into Indy and kick the Colts butt on national TV.

he difference between us is that I understand that your scenario COULD actually happen. However, first home game welcoming the SB Champs? Doubt it. Besides, N.O. has recently fared well in their openers, this year they go down.
Colts 37
Saints 24

Yes. This was the most glaring error Schotty made during that game.

Yah, vee vill be beat by robots from da futah.

Here's a thought for ya, csfoster... I'm sure you guys have been yammering and yammering about keeping better composure on the field, not letting your emotions get the best of you, etc. etc. etc.... HEY, I just wonder whether maybe all that emotionalism is PART of your guys' game.

Hey, what if it's just WHO THE CHARGERS ARE, and they can't do anything about it? What if they lose the edge that let them sniff NE's level... just by trying to rein themselves in?

Oh and more importantly, who ya got to cover the new receiving corps?

Heh.

More like ".....unmercifully beaten by da robots from da futah". ;)

It may be that emotionalism is an essential part of the Bolts game but nonetheless it will be program deleted for this game.

And more importantly just hope the day does not come when you rue not keeping your old receiving corps.:D

Yes. This was the most glaring error Schotty made during that game.

I think going for it in the first half instead of kicking a long FG was huge, as was his decision not to run LT during the second half, I know the OC calls the plays, but the reason there is a head coach is to grab the coordinators by the collar when they are screwing up and fix it.

On what do you base this opinion on?
So the Jets DBs are going to shut Moss, Stallworth and Welker down while "planting" Maroney to the turf, huh?!
The jets starters did not look to impressive last week. I know it's pre season but still, it looks to me that they have a LOT of work to do if they hope to make your prediction a reality.
I just hope you come around when the Pats beat both teams.
San Diego has new coaching, didn't you hear.
New HC is (drum roll please)......NORV TURNER:singing:

A new head coach yes and likely your only hope as was the old head coach.:)

And I wish you the best of luck and expect your team to beat the Jets.

And you're how old? Twelve or Thirteen?

Re: Dear Pats Fans........September's Game of the Month!

We have not and I can not say that he should have knocked it down only that he should have held on to it. As it is, that was just the culmination of several mistakes that your team, to its credit, took full advantage of all made.

And for the record, I do not include Marty's early game decision to forego a field goal as one of those mistakes but I do include the decision to go to a prevent defense at the end of the first half as the first major mistake.

How about Marty not running the ball with LT in the second half after it was apparent that our linebackers couldn't/wouldn't stop him?

I'm looking forward to the rematch.
Let's see how the Norv led Chargers fare against New England and its retooled offense.
It might turn out to be an offensive faceoff for both teams.

Don't worry the jets troll will be crying into his beer once his team falls behind by 3 touchdowns. It ain't gonna be pretty.
He'll be gone for about a week after the loss and then come back for second helpings later in the season. They never learn. ;)

Welcome back. It should be one heck of a game. So many unknowns on both sides given the early date. How will the bolts be adjusting to Norv? Will Norv be smart enough not to try to fix what ain't broke or will he somehow mess the team up? Will Brady have had enough time to get into synch with his new receiving weapons? How will we react to perhaps not having Asante in the backfield? I guess we'll be favored because of home field and the playoff game, but, as BB is fond of saying, i think it's unlikely that the game will be resolved until the final possession.

OOPs I saw the thread title and assumed you all would be talking about Pats at Jets, Carry on with your Pony discusion.:)

Re: Dear Pats Fans........September's Game of the Month!

Waht do you think of the Bolts ILB candidates?

I think the biggest question mark is Matt Wilhelm. He is clearly more physical than the departing Donnie Edwards but his vision, hands, intelligence and decision making are at this point unknown qualities. He looked good last year in limited action. And he's hurt right now and will not play until possibly the last preseason game so we really haven't seen much from him to draw conclusions on.

Stephen Cooper has more experience and looked very solid backing up Godfrey last year. He seems to have a nose for the ball and makes an impact when he's in there. I'm excited to see what he does as a full-time starter.

Overall, we know they are physical with good speed. It's really a question of intelligence, decision making and durability.

......."you know me,I've always been a classy guy"

LT's classless statement...still burns in my mind. What a pompeous ass.

The trouble with the Chargers is that their egos are writting checks, that their bodies can't cash.

They're going to tone down their emotions?

Pleeze.....This from a team that felt it should have been "awarded" a spot in the SB?

A sack dance by steroidman for a quarterback pressure?.....Pathetic!

Here we are.....in your way..come and get us.:rocker:
