As I exited Sullivan Stadium after that loss and the obvious loss of our starting QB, I reflected that we had lost game one to a then pathetic Bengals and just lost game 2 to a division rival putting us at 0-2 for the season. Despite the fact that I was really high on 2nd year Brady from having seen him at summer camp several times, I lost faith at 0-2. I thought here we are still in September and the season is already toast.

My personal record for Patriots football wrongness.
I thought all hope was lost as well. I'm like who the F is this kid? I thought Huard was the backup? I wasn't following as closely as usual after the 5-11 season. Brady went 12-24 for 86 yards in game 4 in a 20 pt loss to MIA and I was thinking fire this coach he sucks what the hell was Kraft thinking? We dumped Pete for this clown? and bench this 6th round scrub and get Huard in there.

The San Diego and Indy games were solid, but then he got picked 4 times and we got smoked by a Brian Greise led Bronco team. Then the ATL and BUF were decent wins. Truthfully it was the gritty loss against STL that got me buying in. I was like alright, we can hang with the big boys. We got something here.

hey Borg....you're right. NYC shown to be completely infested and rotten from the inside out BUT...NOT YOUR PRECIOUS NFL OFFICES!@!! No, sir, we're all tin foil hat wearers. Roger Goodell and a company FILLED with ex-Jet employees are PURE AS THE DRIVEN SNOW!!!!

You're so ****ing naive you'd probably STILL buy anything Bernie Madoff is selling.

The NFL never makes changes to game operations mid-season. The fact that this is happening now is a pretty clear indicator that the fix will be in for the playoffs.

Watch the Jets very, very closely. I'm dead serious I would not be shocked to see the Pats get screwed in an AFCCG against the Jets to send them to the SB. That is if they make it in period. If they do though....

Again to be clear the Pats straight up would be them handily. We just know that's not the case. I'm also talking about any playoff game the Jets are in.

Oh, the suspense. I can't wait to see how the Jets beat the Panthers in the Super Bowl 31-28! It makes it easier to bet on the Super Bowl, though. Thanks Rodge!

I just really don't want to believe any of this. That Denver game scares me though. The 4th quarter was the worst hack job since 06. How many calls went against the Patriots that could of been called on the other side of the ball but weren't?

I don't like it one bit but I'm going to be cautious and watch the games. See how it plays out so to speak. There would be nothing better than to watch Goodell hand Brady that trophy. Except maybe Brady punching him in the face afterwards?

The scary thing is not that judgment calls like OPI, holding, etc. did not get called. It is that things like, oh, you know, running into the plant leg of a punter did not get called.

I refer you back to my comment about this arrangemennt being the ideal setup through which organized crime can exert their influence. Controlling the disposition of gambling money is precisely what I had in mind.

Sorry I missed that one. I thought that I read them all.

Shut off the Jets-Cows game. Did Blandino come through for Roger's team in the trial run?

In the 2010 playoff game the Pats had 2x as many penalties called on them as the Jests.

Conspiracy!

If you truly believe this then there's no way you could actually still watch and enjoy yourself right? Why watch games with fixed outcomes. Unless you're into that wwe like entertainment.

"Intergirty" the NFL standard that only applies to the Patriots..

You do remember a Bulter trip in the SB was not called on 3rd down which setup the game winning drives ? If it went against the pats we would be still ranting about it. My point is, bad plays happen on both sides. For all the league's issues the one thing they dont want is people thinking the game is fixed. They are super sensitive to gambling accusations hence the injury reports etc. More than hgh or any other crap.
This blandino thing is more about their incompetence to handle the refs who themselves are incompetent this yr. If everyone believes this that goodell is going to fix the game, should we stop watching the game today ? If the pats dont win does it mean it is fixed ?

I dont think we're going to have to wait that long for goodell to take care of his jests. I'm expecting a few Patriot screw-jobs next week in the Meadowlands to help the jests get into the playoffs

A) total penalties don't tell the real story. What there were and when they occurred is the real story.
B) re: Broncos game 3 weeks ago.

You must not be following. A completely fabricated, nonsens controversy requiring The quarterback and coach to submit to questioning, taking time away from super bowl preparations actually occurred. The Patriots won anyway.

The whole offseason caused our quarterbck to have to prepare for court instead of the next season. He was cleared in court, but we still lost draft picks.

What would you require as evidence that someone powerful was trying to prevent us from succeeding?

The only thing in our favor is, the games are on TV

I think we are all on the wrong tract. It isn't fixing because outcomes would be predetermined like WWE. Instead, we need to say it's being influenced. No sure thing about the outcome but highly influenced to get to that outcome if at all possible.

Show of hands... how many of you that are already convinced are going to quit watching football?

Not sure why you wrote all this. It had nothing to do with my question. I was asking why do people watch fixed football games. If you're so convinced its fixed why do you even waste your time on it. I was just curious.

Gamblers try to fix games all the time and sometimes lose. You can't fix WWE because that's theater, it's not even competition. Someone is doing what they can to prevent at least the Pats from dominating.

The games are live on TV and the Patriots are trying to win and some teams, especially this year, are incompetent.

Because the best teams still win despite attempts to fix games. As I said, gamblers try to fix games without being caught. they lose sometimes, though. We won last year despite a conspiracy to destroy our preparation and focus during Super bowl week.

We find better players than other teams despite having draft picks stolen by the league. does that mean they didn't steal them? It's just an extra obstacle and will be even more satisfying when we snatch the trophy from that lizard.
