It's easy, and only takes a few moments. You're totally clueless about so many things that go into evaluating players beyond what you've gleaned from websites. You have no farking clue as to whether or not he could have handled the coaching from the Pats. You have no idea whether or not he could have handled the Pats play-book, which is infinitely more complex than the San Diego play-book.
Just because Allen was a much better college player than Dobson doesn't mean everything. Allen had injury red flags that Dobson didn't.
BTW, Wayne's speed was fine. He asked for his release because he couldn't handle the play-book and the time that was needed to be put in.
Galloway wasn't slow when he was with the Patriots. That's more ignorant BS on your part..
Do yourself a favor and just stop so no one else has to be subjected to this ridiculousness..
Face Facts. No one here knows whether or not Allen could have been successful with the Patriots. Maybe he could have been or maybe he'd flamed out like others such as Jackson, Tate, Price, etc.. Pointing to SDs simplistic offense and touting how well Allen is doing as proof of how well he'd do here is the most ignorant thing a person could do.
Our Offense has been very good this year, but getting LaFell back will only make it better!!!! Good bye Dobson, you had plenty of chances, and couldn't contribute, good luck to you and Welcome back Lafell!!!!
Keenan Allen would have killed it in this system. Why people feel the need to try to downplay that is beyond me. I was high on Dobson when he was drafted too but even I can admit that he's been a failure thus far and Allen has turned out to be a stud. We know he's football smart and his route running is exceptionally polished. Of course he would have fit in here. I guarantee you #12 would have loved to have him.
You claimed the shopworn versions of Galloway Wayne and Johnson were as good as the current prime version of Keenan Allen, who is on pace for a 125 catch 1700 yard season. You think Galloway Wayne Johnson had enough left in the tank to produce a season like that? No way. In fact when we got them, they were so far past there prime they were not wanted by any NFL team and none produced any type of production after we released them
You say we released Wayne because he couldn't understand the playbook? Film shows we released Wayne because he couldn't get separation anymore\
Bottom Line A prime Keenan Allen is way better than any of those 3 men at those stages of there careers
How do you know that Allen would have succeeded in this system? What proof do you have that he could have handled the coaching of the Patriots staff? What proof do you have that he could have handled the play-book? Football smart? What proof do you have of that? What proof do you have that he just doesn't run the routes that are called and that Rivers finds him?
The answer is none. It is pure speculation.
People seem to forget that Patriot receivers are expected to make the same reads at the line as Brady and expected to make the same decisions as Brady. Yet no one can offer proof that Allen could do this.. Why people feel the need to think their speculation somehow equals proof is beyond me..
Wayne asked for his released and the 2 pre-season games showed that Wayne can and did get separation. Clearly you don't actually watch the games.
I'm done with you since you can't be bothered to provide facts..
You still think a 37 year old Reggie Wayne is as good as a prime Keenan Allen?
The former Indianapolis Colts star asked for and was granted his release Saturday
WR asked Patriots to release him
Wayne asked for his release from the team and the Patriots granted it,
I haven't missed a game since 1995 when we traveled to Atlanta and lost 30-17 with zolak starting. The Falcons ended up finishing 9-7 and making the playoffs that year. That 95 team had a brutal schedule. Road games against KC and SF...ouch

Let's also not forget the Allen almost quit football because he had a tough time during Chargers training camp.
What if Allen was drafted and quit because Pats training camp was tough and then Dobson was drafted by someone else and played solid.
All these same people would be saying BB was dumb to draft Allen over Dobson.

.
How did we ever think Dobson would be a better fit for our system than Allen?
