All indicators are pointing to him fully practicing this week and getting some playing time, presumably, against the Jets. That final item, I assume, is what you want to see to feel good about LaFell playing against the Jets, understandably.

Personally I want to see him in an expanded role but he should be eased back into things as he get himself in football shape again.

I hope you're correct, but historically the Pats have had their PUP guys practice with the team for a couple of weeks before putting them on the active roster.

I'm not sure exactly, but the rule is that they can start to practice with the team on week 6, but they don't have to make a decision on when to put them back on the roster for something like 3 or 4 weeks after that.

That's his responsibility. I have supported Dobson since they drafted him but he's had more than enough time to prove himself and hasn't done so. He's not aa fighter, period, and I have lost faith in him.

How much longer do we have to wait for Dobson? Keenan Allen caught yet another 14 balls last Sunday. Already has 53 catches and 600 yards in 6 games. On pace for 125 catches and more than 1700 yards. Allen made an unbelievable sideline catch. How did we ever think Dobson would be a better fit for our system than Allen?

You're totally clueless about so many things that go into evaluating players beyond what you've gleaned from websites. You have no farking clue as to whether or not he could have handled the coaching from the Pats. You have no idea whether or not he could have handled the Pats play-book, which is infinitely more complex than the San Diego play-book.

Just because Allen was a much better college player than Dobson doesn't mean everything. Allen had injury red flags that Dobson didn't.

BTW, Wayne's speed was fine. He asked for his release because he couldn't handle the play-book and the time that was needed to be put in.

Galloway wasn't slow when he was with the Patriots. That's more ignorant BS on your part..

Face Facts. No one here knows whether or not Allen could have been successful with the Patriots. Maybe he could have been or maybe he'd flamed out like others such as Jackson, Tate, Price, etc.. Keenan Allen would have killed it in this system. Why people feel the need to try to downplay that is beyond me. I was high on Dobson when he was drafted too but even I can admit that he's been a failure thus far and Allen has turned out to be a stud. We know he's football smart and his route running is exceptionally polished. Of course he would have fit in here. I guarantee you #12 would have loved to have him.
