Elway got Talib yesterday, but lost Demaryius Thomas today.
With the money they're giving out, they might literally lose him next year.

I'm a bit uneasy with the amount of cash v his recent injury history, but if he's anywhere near his best, then for one year....***** YEAH.
Suck it Jesters!
Just in case you somehow thought Darrelle Revis had a down year, his +18.2 @PFF grade in 2013 led all CBs.
Talib < Law < Revis
It does what you mention; I think it also removes the deep ball against the pats completely as it allows McCourty to only have to patrol the other half-2/3rds of the field.
Nitpicking here, but why is Patterson on that list, he's not exactly an elite WR, or even close to it...
Another thought, FWIW:
- Revis was cut by Tampa Bay, who won't get any compensation for the Pats signing him, and he won't factor into our formulae for FAs lost vs. signed.
- Losing Talib will almost certainly result in us getting a 2015 3rd round comp pick.
OhExaulted1 It's almost like he made a trade. Talib for Revis and a 3rd. Brilliant!
Put him in solo, double up on the TE side, and have FS in slice tech. Welker and Thomas out of the equation, just like that.
I guarantee you, BB is pulling up all the tape on the Jets now and looking at what Ryan did with Revis.
Wish it was fall already.
Wheres all the people who were saying theres no chance of this happening? Wheres all the posters who were making fun of the ones that believed there was a chance this happened?
I already admitted I'm a mega *******. Shall I flog myself as well?
