Curran on CSNE rported that failing to trade him, Revis will be released thereby creating a domino effect for other free agent corners as he'll set the standard for everyone else. Curran also noted that the team that signs Revis is one less team that will be looking at Talib

I wonder if the Patriots offer Revis a 1-year deal for a chance to win a SuperBowl. The chances would be VERY high.

Why do you think the chances are very high? Revis went to TAMPA BAY for money, he knew for a fact that team wasn't winning anything.

Well there is some incentive for a team to trade for him, is there not? If he's released you're competing with 30 other teams to sign him

I think Jay Glazer is about as reliable as they come and he said that Revis being cut/traded is "absolutely happening"

Glazer is typically a pretty decent source from what I know. He uses the "3 different source rule," which helps to report actual facts. It's a refreshing change of pace these days

It sounds nice, but how can you pay that much money to the secondary? Especially with McCourty needing an extension or the franchise tag (which will be above 9 million for safeties next year) a year from now.

It sounds as if teams are calling TB on a possible trade...so that 1 year deal probably won't happen

My point is, in other words, no f'ing sh** they have had "internal discussions" and no kidding this "writer" doesn't know any further at this time. Is that really news that the Patriots have had internal talks about Revis, someone who is going to be available combined with the fact that the Patriots could POSSIBLY be needing a top CB in the event they don't resign Talib? NO. Wouldn't be surprised if this was just made up; but either way, I'm sure the Patriots have had internal talks. It doesn't mean a whole lot though. They explore every option and at LEAST talk about those options.
